For those who don't know, the Jewish High Holy Days are observed during the 10 day period between the first day (Rosh Hashanah) and the 10th day (Yom Kippur) of Tishri, the seventh month of the Jewish calendar.

Rosh Hashanah is the New Year (celebrated during the first two days of Tishri.
Yom Kippur is the day of atonement when Jews pray, fast, and reflect on the past year.

It is also Ramadan , the start of a month of prayer, reflection and celebration. There is some debate on the exact start of this lunar month of fasting and prayer, but some began Monday others will begin tomorrow.

we have this jewish couple from isreal who run a house for the jewish tourists in our city...its pretty nice considering this is india and we dont have to many jews here......
