I don't know too much about it, but do I know it has something to do with animal spirits and shapeshifting.

I believe I am a wolf (or werewolf), spiritually. I've had wolfish urges ever since I was a toddler, i.e. running around on all fours and/or howling. When I do howl, it feels very natural to me, like I'm supposed to do it.

Am I the only one who feels this way or am just a crazy ol' hag?

I had a dream the other night about Spirit Wolf. It was mere hours after I had dedicated myself to his side. He's one of my two spirit guides, if you wanted to know. At first, he was mistrusting and, well, mean, but in the end he helped me, led me through the forest, so to speak. It was sort of his accepting ritual, I think. Spiritually; I have no idea what animal I would be. Anyone ever seen or read Clan of the Cave Bear? It dealt with shamanism. I saw the movie. I was 9, and it was amazingly good to me. I always wanted to read the book...but it's 600 or so pages.

All i know is they eat peyote and mushrooms. then trip out in nature.

I have wolf dreams about once a week, always the same wolves. I gave them all names, and I made a website with their pictures (the closest ones I could find, anyway) and their personalities.

I figured that the howling would set most people off, but my sister says the sleeping on the floor is weirder. I wish my mom would let me sleep outside, but she said "Absolutely NOT" so, the floor it is. Sometimes I can be talked into sleeping on a mattress laid on the floor. Usually when I'm sick, and my mom says, for the sake of her back, she is NOT going to bend over double every time I need something.

EarthGoddess, I love to howl. I found I cave down in my back yard and I'm turning it into a den, where I can go when I get the urge to bite someone. (Usually my sister ) My family thinks I'm weird, but I'm just more wolf that human. I'll make a list, you tell me if you do any of these things:

Celtic, I was using an example personal to you. Not suggesting that all pagans did what you do.

i'm not pagan but i have friends that are and it's just a result of them exploring and finding what they see as their "niche." it's ll good, truly, they're cool people. nice bodhran by the way, celtic, i have one too.

Hence the "(or insert your favorite buzzword here)". The fact is, you still beleive that drums, or mystical properties of herbs, or whathaveyou will actually work. Yes, herbs do work in certain situations, but it's due to quantifiable chemical and biological reactions.
