STOP with this debate. LOOK at the title of this thread. AND stop ruining it! This is not a place for argument but to express what we love from the Bible.
Belief makes things real/Makes things feel, feel alright/Belief makes things true/Things like you, you and I

Define 'awhile' because I remember not too long ago (a year or two) some woman said Jesus told her to kill her three sons so she killed two and tried to kill the third but wasn't successful.

Leviticus 28:1 And Jesus said, "Thou shalt not eat veggie foods, for they are of Satan."

Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Mmmmm evil.

quote: And yet, I hear a lot of 'christian' people around here say that the best thing that could happen to this country is if we "dropped a bomb on all those sand n******." These are also the same people who, when talking about religion, say that it people should live by the bible every day...and an hour later, talk about how they'd "Just love ta bang her, hehhehheh!" >_<
Amen, If only there were more Christians who would stand up and raise the standard that Jesus taught and stop living in hypocritical lies.

And yet, I hear a lot of 'christian' people around here say that the best thing that could happen to this country is if we "dropped a bomb on all those sand n******." These are also the same people who, when talking about religion, say that it people should live by the bible every day...and an hour later, talk about how they'd "Just love ta bang her, hehhehheh!" >_< By the way, I live in the South, where people of what may be considered sentient intelligence are a rarity, and can be legally hunted from August-October. ¬_¬ I've lived here all my life, I reserve my right to say it. Anyway. My favorite bible passage is 1 Corinthians 13 (entirety) 1 Corinthians 13, New American Standard Bible If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophesy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes in all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tounges, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing. For we know partially and we prophesy partially, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. At present, we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known. So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love. If more people lived by that chapter, things would be a lot better, ja? It's my favorite. And yes, I'm the one who edited that one into Wikipedia. ^_^ My first, and only, Wikipedia edit.

The Christian Church condemns those who kill in the name of Jesus (though they're haven't been any in awhile), while the Muslim Clerics celebrate them. No other major religion is like that.

Christians prefer to be stoned. Explosives are oh-so-messy. Wouldn't want to stain that white clothing.

I love how religions are so hypocritical.
I love how you cannot not seem to keep anything in perspective. For one, the passage (from which I took two lines) is about the coming battle between good and evil in the Valley of Armaggedeon in Israel. Second, when was the last time a Christian blew himself up in the name of Jesus?

Honestly, people, PLEASE keep all these religious debates on other threads. This is supposed to be about favorite Bible passages...not about your opinions of them.

"It is written: 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to god.'" Romans 14:11 This is one example, there is also another place in the Bible where it says that everyone on earth will be enlightened of Christ. I'm working on finding that verse, but this is one verse that explains that everyone will know about God.

All I have to do to know that it's right in my oppinion, is look around me, especially at church. We have our annual summer two week camp meeting going on right now, and the people from our branch churches all over the world are here. During some of our services we have testimonies. Those people that stand and say what they've been through, and how God has changed their lives is proof enough for me. I believe that Christianity is the only religion that is true.
I'm a christian too. I'm speaking from a unbiased POV
