Why do teams pray before a game?? They are both praying to win... but one has to loose. I already I know what the answer is going to be.. "its gods will" so why pray in the first place?

No, Bauhaus. Teams don't "pray to win," instead they pray so that they will lose their nervousness and play to the best of their ability. It's not like they believe there is pre-destination, and that they have no control over what we do. Praying gets you calmed down and also puts the game into perspective - no matter how "important."

That wasn't the question. The question was why. I doubt anyone has a good answer, because it seems pretty stupid.

Well if the whole team agrees to pray, and no one on it has anything against it, I don't think there's anything wrong with asking for a little help.
"Take risks and never regret them."
