Someone's probably already brought this up, but you can pray in school. The only thing not allowed is teacher or school led prayer. You can pray all you want alone or in a group, though. No one can legally prohibit you from doing that.
The more you know, the less you don't know.

If you want to be obnoxious and hated, you could always pray to Satan.

well then I suggest changing from what would seem to be a christain school to a public school prayer to whatever God is a good thing but I have no idea what atheists would do instead. Internal reflection perhaps? and any way we shouldn't force people to pray it should be something you want to do.

I would meditate if I was forced to pray. If I have a right to freedom of religion, I shouldn't even have to go THAT far in protesting.

Prayer in schools call attention to those who are different. As an aetheist in a school that had the lord's prayer every morning I was resentful over being forced to do something I didn't believe in.
They call this war a cloud over the land but they made the weather then they stand in the rain and say s*** it's rainin.

I agree completely that is a very good statement now on the followers of God saying dumb things I would like to remind you that extremists exist in every group, morons double so the beliefs of a few nuts while heard more often are not that of the majority personally there's to much evidence for both God and science to have one contradict the other

Really? Cover to cover? Wow, well first off I have to congratulate you;I got bored during Deuteronomy. And yes, I'm failry confident God said pretty much none of what I typed, but rather some of his followers. I also believe that scientists have never talked to God, and if they had, I'm sure they wouldn't be so rude. But the point was, Science and God (or more accurately, most people's beliefs of God) are separate. But what have you to say to: quote: Now, say there is a god, naturally science and that god would be one in the same and science would be how the god interacted and possibly created the world.

6 days to God is not 6 days to man quote: God-"Dinosaurs lived with man!"
quote: God-"Every creature on this earth is how I created them"
I've read the bible cover to cover and I've never heard the top or the bottom

God-"I say the earth was created in 6 days!" Scientists-"We pretty much all agree that no, it wasn't." God-"And those 6 days were only 6,000 years ago!"(assuming it says that somehow in the bible, and fundamentalists didn't just pull a number out of their ass) Scientists-"Uh...no. 6 billion is a little closer" God-"Dinosaurs lived with man!" Scientists-"....No they didn't." God-"Every creature on this earth is how I created them" Scientists-"Alright, just stop." That's how 'God' and science are separate. And by God I am (obviously) referring to the Christian god and what is in their Bible. The Christian God and Science are separate. Now, say there is a god, naturally science and that god would be one in the same and science would be how the god interacted and possibly created the world.

not really both have done a large number of good and bad things for the world so in the end if you must make a moron out of yourself and demand that God and science be seperate (which I equate with the seperation of fish and their fins) they tend to come out on pretty equal footing

WOE, WHAT'S GOING ON IN ARE WORLD. The Bible was the biggest part of shool back in the olden days. It shoudn't have changed this much over the years. Ever since people started believing what scientist say instead of what God said, this world has gotton way side tracked. We have issues giong on the world that shouldn't be issues. And I don't mean that in the way where there shouldn't be people trying to stop poverty, and racism ect. I mean that in the way that we as Americains, this whole World should know and do the right thing.

Hmm...I think not being allowed to show your religion is wrong, but teachers not being allowed to teach it is different.
The grass is greener on the other side, until you get there.

quote: Hell I go to a public school and my Football team prays after each game
I may believe in christian theories, but oppression by religion is still wrong.
