Hi Everyone! I have just read an artical on the internet, comparing the marriage of a man and woman to the union of Christ and his Church. Does it seem strange to anyone that so religious a comparison could be made to the rather down to earth idea of marriage? Also, what do you people think about serial monogamy, and at the risk of assaulting your polite chat on the spirituality page, polygamy. *Collective Intake of Breath* Sorry about this thread i am running out of ideas.

I'm never gonna have a legal marriage through the state, it costs money to get married then cost more money to get divored. Plus if you and your spouse make a lot of money you will be taxed more than if you filed separetley, its the "marriage penalty"

Since marriage originated through the Church, it doesn't surprise me. In fact, the whole "Christian" purpose of marriage is to grow in God through having someone to go through life with you and, well, to procreate God's earth. I don't know what you mean by serial monogamy. A polygamy board was already started by Bella and I think it's still far from being a "dead" thread---I doubt you have to click back more than a page or two. To sum it up---I don't really care. People can marry who they want. But it should be with consent.
