Can everyone just desribe to me what your morals are. I hate it when people think that just because a person is Atheist or Agnostic, you don't have morals. Morals are not just a Christian thing or something you can find in the bible. I am Agnostic and I know my rights from my wrongs. I have no problem with Homosexuality (if I did....it'd be self-hatred), I think it's wrong to steal, I think it's wrong to kill, I think it's wrong to lie, I think it's wrong to hate, and I have a lot of other things I think are wrong that lots of other people in the world think are wrong too. So....why is it that so many people (mostly Americans) think that just because you're not into an organzied religion, you're not "moral"?

Barkid, I originally learned my morals from my parents, mostly my mom. They were reinforced by the church though. LPGurl (btw, my favorite band) I have morals that may seem religiously based. But, the thing is, they're common sense morals. The Ten Commandments (which is what it seems like you were referring to in your post) were created to just set down basic laws that everyone mostly follows anyways. They were written down to make them like law but they were mostly followed regardless. These main morals that Christianity teaches usually exist in every single one of us. But if you're a Christian, you just have another reason why you follow those morals.

The question is, how did you come to possess these morals. They are not inherent born traits, they were taught to you either directly or secondhand, most likely by your family, friends, and the media. Is your family religious? If so then you may be displaying religious morals although you yourself are not religious.

My morals are determined by what I feel and know to be right or wrong. I don't need a God or some book to tell me that killing someone is wrong. I don't need anyone to tell me that cheating while in a relationship is wrong.
1-We are all born originals - why is it so many of us die copies? 2- Life is tough... it's tougher if you're stupid.
