My parents raised me as a Lutheran. They're anything but devout, but they're much more religious than I ever was. I question too much to belong to any religion. Now I'm hovering around agnosticism, but not quite. I'm not sure what I am, but I suppose it doesn't really matter so long as I'm happy.

My mother calls herself a Catholic but hasn't gone to church - save for the occasional wedding, funeral, and baptism - in ten years. My dad has never really talked to me about his beliefs, so I have no idea if mine differ from his. Basically, I've been forced to provide my own spiritual nourishment my whole life, and have been through many phases... the Catholic phase, the deist phase, the agnostic phase, and now atheism.
Now that I'm past the confusion arising from my many religious affiliations (or lack thereof, in some cases), I'm happy that neither of my parents ever forced their beliefs on me, and instead unintentionally forced me to come up with my own. I feel as though my beliefs are really mine this way.

I'm a cradle Catholic. I was baptized just after birth, was dragged to church every weekend and went to religious education for 8 long years. I was confirmed, not becuase it was important to me, but because I thought it was important to my parents. My mom is Catholic and my dad converted to Catholicism (he was Episcopalian). I really didn't believe in Catholicism when I was confirmed, but I do, more or less, now. My mom told me recently that she never cared about my sister and I staying Catholic, as long as we stayed involved in SOME religion. Now I realize that I do not totally agree with the Catholic Church, but it works for me...

I am a Baha'i, I always have been, though for awhile I doubted not that I belived in it but that I was really ready for it. Since then I have just loved it. People say religion get boring and dumb but for me its something that keeps me on the right track.
"Religion should unite all hearts and cause wars and disputes to vanish from the face of the earth, give birth to spirituality, and bring life and light to each heart. If religion becomes a cause of dislike, hatred and division, it were better to be without it, and to withdraw from such a religion would be a truly religious act."

I hold religious convicitons, where as my parents hold a deep contempt for religions. I keep mine secret, and disguise it in Philosophy.

Well, my parents are Jewish and they raised me to be Jewish, but I don't believe in anything that judaism(sp?) tells me to believe. I really don't know what to believe anymore.
