quote: Could you tell me in effect what it is, seeing as that site has been filtered, and if it's filtered I don't want to know.
So, could you tell me exactly what it is? Leaving out anything that would be filtered?
The reason the entire site would be filtered is not because of that movie. Some clips contain partial nudity and/or vulgar language, which is probably why it is being filtered. Basically the woman refuses to acknowledge any other religion or person that follows another religion and demonizes their beliefs. She was also a major hypocrite, because she (at first) refused to take the money because all she supposedly wanted was her God and her family, huffing about being some "God-warrior" but then, once she discovered that the money would also go to her gastric bypass surgery, she took the money. You'd really have to listen to her to get the feel for it. In my experience, most Christians are like this; they just aren't as vocal about it. She has shown me, along with anyone who watched it, the hypocrisy and ignorance that dwells in many Christians. Not all, but many. That said, I was raised as a Christian and went to church every Sunday and yadda yadda yadda right up till I was about thirteen, when the Church I went to stabbed most people in the back and decided to give the pastor a raise from PT to FT, and my parents were having a hard enough time paying him for his meager PT work. He didn't change his hours once he went to full time pay, either. So my family left the church. However, the same guy, when he had been there only about a year or so and I was nine, told me "We just have to have faith" when I asked him why dinosaurs weren't mentioned in the Bible. That was about the time I realized God was a phony, at least to me. But it's allowed me to open my eyes so much more than you'd believe. And I'm not going about it with the normal "I'm so righteous" mindset either. It's morale to me, not religious. If you're doing it for religious reasons you might as well be the person who gets paid for doing it; you're doing things for the wrong reasons.

I thought that she was posed with a demon. It was all show for the camera, she's still posed. I don't care if she saids she's a christian and a spiritual warrior, she didn't look like it or sound like it either.

I don't understand how they can sue the broadcaster. They are getting $50,000 for it and I'm sure that they have signed contracts about the show. Seems kind of weird to me... But, whatever. That lady was kind of funny to watch though. She repeated herself over and over. Such as saying she was a spiritual warrior and whatnot. But ya, that's what you get with fundamentalists. I'm sure some people in my small town in Nebraska would be like that too. But probably a bit more polite. maybe...

Just because nobody understands you, that doesn't mean you're artistic.

Wow, what a hipocrit. I am a Christian, and I HATE it when other Christians are so closed minded. Same/w people of other religions. The problem is that every religion is the "right way," according to our beliefs.

I would sue if I had to live with that woman. I think I would have heaved her off my atrium balcony. Though she would probably explode on impact and break the tiles.

Really? Wow, most Christians I know would act like that if they were made to live like that. But when you sign up for these type of shows, the point of it is to make you uncomfortable or at least experience a different way of life. So by signing up these people should realize that this kind of switch is likely.

That was a mistake on Fox's part too though... I mean you've got to be dumb to let a fundamentalist Christian switch with some who reads tarot cards and such. Ahem...not a representation of all Christians, most definitely. Even the ones who devoutly believe in God don't act like this.

I don't really know. Now I want to watch the whole episode. Supposedly the other family wasn't Christian enough for her. Whatever. But now I'm hearing about a lawsuit against ABC for "Wife Swap" in which some southern asshole says his family suffered damages for having a homosexual "wife" come live with them. Ten million dollars people, ten MILLION dollars in damages. Sheesh, I had no idea homosexuality was that costly.

Where did she go to that was so "dark-sided"? I didn't catch half of it because it was so quiet.

I know, isn't hypocrisy a sin or something? Yes, she definitely needed the surgery.

Hah! What a hypocrite at the ending. But she did really need that surgery...
