Yeah I believe there are ghost, because so much weird stuff happens and I can't think of other explanations for some of it.

There are lots of scientific theories on ghosts. I went ghost hunting in Florida. The guide was explaining that his study group believes that once you die your energy (spiritual energy) converts to a different kind of energy that forms a ghost. Another theory is that one's imagination can construct an actual being with enough power. There was a writer in a house who wrote of a shadow creature. This creature apparently began being sighted shortly after the man's death. It is believed by many that his imagination projected this lasting image in the house. I personally believe ghosts are real. I also believe many people make up some of the sightings, and this makes it an even more difficult thing to study thoroughly. Most evidence is based on people's stories.

I don't really know...I guess that I'd have to say that I have many different thoughts on this.

Hmmmm...I don't know. I want to believe that when one dies one rests until judment day. But I don't know if it would be possible to be trapped between this life and the next. It sounds complicated and I really don't know or think that it could be possible. And if it was, well then that we just be so sad to wonder with no rest and to be trapped not being able to know how you could help your self. -sweet day-

I've found that most people, me included, have their personal stories involving ghosts. For me, it happened when I was seven or so: I got cold during the night, went to my closet to get a sweatshirt, and on the way, something caught my eye. I looked outside the door to my room, and saw a transparent white dress simply floating in the air. Ironically, though, I really don't believe in ghosts. I think that a lot of people think they have seen ghosts, but really have not. In my personal experience, for instance, I could have simply imagined the whole thing. I was addicted to Goosebump books (and imatation Goosebump books) at the time, and they probably influenced my thinking. I did have my sweater on when I woke up the next morning, but I could have been half-asleep when I got it. I know it sounds like I'm rationlizing my way into not believing in ghosts, and maybe I am. Still, ghosts are just not a logical concept. The forementioned experience is the only one I've had with "ghosts". Reasonably, if they were real, I would have seen more. Plus, there is no logical way to dictate exactly who would become a ghost and who wouldn't. No "ghost formula" really makes sense. I suppose you could try something like "only those who believe in ghosts will see them", or something, but that sounds way too tabloid-magazine-ish for me.
And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"

Hmm...Im not really sure about what I think about ghosts. Sometimes, I think they're real. Like when you do the Oujia board with your friends, you think that there really is a ghost. Just yesterday I did it and I thought it really worked, but then I discussed it with another friend and we agreed that you probably self-consciously move it...but in some cases that doesn't seem possible because when you ask a question that only one person knows, and that person don't participate, the Oujia board still spells out the correct answer. That amazes me. Also, how do you get those pictures under your name?

I've also thought that I felt someone or something touching me before. You rub your hand over that spot and the sensation is gone though. In my grandmothers house you'd hear someone walking around in the kitchen late at night when nobody that you could see was in there. Shuffling feet sound... And sometimes you'd hear what sounded like someone jumping up and down and stuff would shake. A friend of mine as a friendly ghost. She lives alone in a house, and sometimes she'll hear an older sounding guy singing to himself.

Well, I've never experienced anything to make me think that there ARE ghosts, so I'm disinclined to believe in them.

I think ghosts are real...a few weeks ago I was babysitting my little brothers and sister and we were ALL downstairs and I was just sitting there reading and I heard these footsteps upstaits just walking up and down the hallway, but EVERYONE who was at the house, was downstairs. I think ghosts are spirits that haven't made it to heaven, but aren't in hell because they need to finish something on earth. Just my opinion...

Yeah, I saw a ghost when I was 2 or 3, I remember it perfectly. My mom was cleaning the bathroom, and I pointed at a man standing over me. He was a tall foggy image, but could still be seen of course. My mom blessed the house and made him an offer, don't know how, but I believe in ghosts. There have been many times when I feel that I am not alone in one room, I feel eyes looking at me, weird I know.
But I do believe in ghosts, they are spirits that have not crossed over to the other side/the light/heaven or hell.

I believe in ghosts. I've walked in my dinning room and all of the chairs around the table knocked over. Some guy died in my friend Holly's garage and we went out there and the shelf with paint on it knocked over and the old guy walked across the garage and out the door. My Dad and I both saw my grandma walking down the hallway at night. Weird stuff. I've also felt hands on my shoulders and legs. -Sunset
