The Gaia Theory was created by some Theologian in the 17th Century, and states that God did create the essentials like the earth, stars etc, and then set in motion evolution. This explains evil, because God hasn't finished creating everything.

I have to say that I am the same way. I believe thaat there is a higher God who created the earth, heavens, and everything else. But I also think that we were all made to be genentically or scientifically connected so that we could farther science to help ourselves.
I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize. My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived. But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for wha

Now, I don't want to take cheap shots, but I HATE when people try to make a point and horribly misspell all the words. I know it's the meaning that counts, but it still makes me want to laugh. and do you have proof that the scientists are just denying God so they can play God? wouldn't you think that if you realized you would have eternal torment in hell, you would do something about it... but luckily for me, i don't believe in that.

True. I'll try to get one for you tonight. The reason I asked ice is that so many accept evo' as proven fact without doing any research of their own. Just testing the waters to see if I can get any real debate out of the "science says" croud. You have certainly dabated well, so I'm not talking about you, just people like... speed, for instance.

Bring some of this science and reason, ICE.
You're due for an update in that other thread aren't you? I'm contesting your science there and supporting my position as well. I look foward to the next post.

Well, since pretty much everything in science and reason mankind has accumulated over the past thousand years points to evolution; I'm going to go with that. Creation, on the other hand, is mainly supported by having faith in something that there is 0 evidence for.

I believe that the earth came about as the result of scientific processes. However, I have faith that there is some sort of supreme force behind it all. Maybe not a god, but a "god dictated by the laws of nature" so to say.

so do i. which makes me immensely unpopular in science class.

Yes, created from dense swirling dust clouds left over from the formation of our sun. Every other planet in our solar system and the trillions of other solar systems in the billions of other galaxies were "created" the same way. We're not special. Never take an astronomy class. You'll fail horribly. I don't think it's coincidence that the rocky planets are made of basically the same stuff. quote: When it all comes down to it, everything was created. No matter how much you want to brake down the cells and stuff they all were created.
Cells were created by DNA, DNA is created by long chains of amino acids, Amino acids are created by molecules, molecules are created by elements, elements were created by stars. It's not that hard. Believe what you want, but science is a million times more advanced than you think.

Actually they {the scientist} know that the earth was created, but they don't want to admitt that cause that would mean they would have to bow dow to a higher power and scientist don't want to do that, they want to play God.
They are trying to clone humands and they have already cloned an animal and look what happen the cats that they cloned are complete opposites of each other. One cat has darker strips than the other or something like that. They are trying to play God and it's not working.
When it all comes down to it, everything was created. No matter how much you want to brake down the cells and stuff they all were created.

that is higher physics. I'm too lazy to ask my dad the real methodology behind that, he's downstairs...
