Ever think gods plan was for you to drown and your friend stopped it? You know god is no stranger to drowning people.

I never said it makes me more special than anybody else but if he didn't want me to die than I wouldn't be alive.

Someone? I prefer the term "something". The Creator isn't a person.

um... yeah, our parents have something to do with it... that's obvious.. but I guess there is someone out there greater who made us and the universe and all things. Smile

You know that God is real simply by looking all around you. Where do WE come from? Don't tell me humans have powers before and then they just made the universe and the earth? Simple... There is someone out there, invisible but powerful who made us all.

Also.... another evidence is: YOU AND ME. We are products that God is real. Smile

I like that "unmoving mover" description.

I'm kind of with Celtic here, we controll our reality more than we know. We are all our own all powerful beings to interact with what probability creates. (Not in a ego maniac schitzophrenic way, for clarification). And what is true for me, is not true for you.

Yet I also sometimes think that things are connected interchangably in one mass of infinity...

I know that I reject religion, a diety, or any exterior force that exists any further than within ourselves. And in "ourselves" I'm not necesarrily referring to the classic soul. As far as I know, the soul may be no more glamourous than a psychological manifestation of one's identity.

How do I know that God is real? I don't. I know nothing for sure and it's a vulnerable position to admit. But I have rules I apply and facts that work today and opinions.

I think that the traditional God is the best pulled off mythical trick in the history of the universe as I am aware of it. So damn clever, I'm almost jealous.

But I respect people's personal faiths as long as they remain a personal practice.

prayer is the belief of humans that 1: God listens 2: God can hear

Faith

Faith is defined as:
"Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence."

So really, no one actually knows if God exsists or not. It's all a blind belief in a greater good.

A friend asked me once why they should believe in God, because what if in the end, He doesnt exsist? Heres what I told her:

"Ok, fine, say God doesn't exsist. How is it going to hurt you living your life following guidelines that are only going to make you a better person? Yea, you may not be able to go out and do whatever you want, but at least at the end of your life, you will die knowing that you lived your life in a positive way, and that you will have had an effect on others."

*This is what we do. We fight. You tell me when I'm being an arrogant son of a b*itch and I tell you when your being a pain in the a*s. Which you are. 99% of the time. I aint afraid to hurt your feelings. You have like a two second rebound rate and then your off doing the next pain in the a*s thing.

Well I know if I was drowning someone would pull me out of the water, but I don't chalk that up to God. I chalk that up to human morals and integrity.

I know b/c I have faith.I know God cares about me.I cut b/c it can take away the pain.God can do misterious things but it also has to be their decision too and I'm not ready to stop yet.

You can't prove he's real like talk to him in person but think about it how many things have happened to you that you are grateful for?I've had many near death experences one wasn't too long ago I almost drown I blacked out and then someone pulled me out of the water I mean I couldn't breath of course I .I'm so grateful for God being there b/c if he/she wasn't there than that person wouldn't have saved my life.

As a child I had faith in Santa. He kept me from doing bad things, if I did bad I'd be punished for it, if I did good I'd be rewarded. All the stories about him, made him seem very real also. As I got older, and lost my innocence and passed into my life now, I realized a lot of things were told to me to keep me inline, even though they didnt exist. How can I believe in God now when I've been decived by adults in the passed?

ooooooo....good point! You know, I like how you think bauhaus... Smile
