But rugar, Bethlehem is on the opposite side of the world than us. For us it is winter, over there it would be spring - and warm.

And Dunadaine, I hate you. You completely butchered that title. Tolkien is turning in his grave.

I like these calm little moments before the storm.

Alot of people say that Jesus was born on Christmas Day.
But I have come to find out that if Jesus was born on Christmas Day He would have probably froze to death.
In Bethlehem there is mountains and it snows in the winter time.
In the Bible it saids He is the Lamb of God and all Lambs are born in the Spring.

The wise men didn't come to see Jesus until he was two. It took them two years to get across the desert.
If you read in St.Matthew 2:11 {KJV}

It was the shepards who was there after he was born. If you read in St.Luke 2:8-16 {KJV}

Did you that Jesus was not born on Christmas day and the wise men weren't at the manger when Jesus was born?

As a atheist, I really am not offended by christmas displays. For most, christmas is no longer a relgious holiday. It's just a time to exchange gifts. I celebrate Christmas. My dad's Jewish (not religious) and he celebrates Christmas. A christmas tree is just a christmas tree. It seems stupid to call it a holiday tree.

Holiday tree is so useless. Its just for the winers that are offended by the word Christ.( I kinda like that! I'll put it again: Christ) The word christmas is derectly related to Catholasism: Christ's-mass. But then again the word holiday is inherintly Catholic as well: Holy Day, hence holiday. If you look back holiday refers to other ocassions celebrated by catholics like, St. Steven's Day, St. Mary's Day, ect. So its a classic case of "the cutting of the nose to spite one's own face", just so some winers can get a warm fuzzy feeling.

Happy Chrismahannukwanzakuh!

I thought that might be fitting. I call it a Christmas tree, but not for any religious reason. It represents the holiday of Christmas, just like a turkey represents Thanksgiving, and hearts represent Valentine's Day. It's just a symbol.

Of course, we all know Christmas has little to do with Christ these days...

Let me try and clear it up a bit.

What I'm trying to say is I know it is just a tree ok. I've have alway hear and called it a Christmas tree.

And now some people are getting mad because it's called a Christmas tree and Holiday tree.
They are wanting to take away any and everything that has to do with Christ or God away, because it might offened some people.
{ACLU}

I know that God is going to be taken off the money and out of the pledge oneday.

I hope I clear it up some. Sorry about that.

That's all I'm saying.

I'm sorry I'm generally against this kind of thing, but if sometimes your for political correctness and then against it, what does that make you? If calling it a holoday tree makes you that upset... seek help.

Besides, Christmas trees are historically Pagan.

Show me something in Christianity besides the notion that jesus was a god that's original.

And that was for rugar

Even though I don't own one personally. I still think that certain people are trying to take GOD out of everything and I think that it is wrong.

Certain people get all mad and stuff just because someone saids MERRY CHRISTMAS and not happy holiday's. I think the people who get mad need to shut up.

Wal-Mart works say MERRY CHRISTMAS and that is why I shop at Wal-Mart and not Target.
Target works say happy holidays.

ACLU is the people who get all mad over stupid stuff.

If your faith is shaken by the name of a tree or what people say to you... I would say that you have bigger fish to fry
