Cannibalism isn't evil. It may be disgusting but it's not evil. And my friend says you still shouldn't do it.

Depends.

For you and I, it's twisted.

For him, it's fun.

But again, what if the perpotrater knows hes doing evil, and yet he enjoys the fact that people hate him? He specifically does evil for the reaction that it will get? Does that not sound like an evil idea in itself?

If drugs or alcohol apply, then I'd say it's a different story.

Insanity, I'm supposedly clinically insane, but I have an ideal of what I can and can't do. Sure, they are more liberal than others, and my reasoning for them can be twisted to some, but I still have them.

I don't think if the person considers it evil and enjoys it, he's being evil. Because then he gets pleasure from doing the evil.

What if the perpotrater is in an altered state of mind, say drugs, alcohol or insanity? Or has split personaltiy? One beleives it is evil and the other not?

In Vodun (VooDoo) traditions there is no good and evil but there is some thing close. there black and white magic. white magic is like helping some one or giving to charity all the way up to healing severe wounds. Black magic is much more simply to do black magic all you need is emotion things like hatred and other powerful darker emotions drive people to black magic the most basic black magic of all is killing or beating some one to more powerful "spells" like zombie raiseing is that perhaps a form of good evil?

No.

See, the evil doer still does not think it is evil. That is the first reason.

The second, every evil is accepted at least in one place. Cannibalism and pedophilia and rape are OK in some cultures, as well as killing people of different race/religion/etc.

But surely, some acts must be so horrific that all of humanity thnks that they are evil. Surely if we all beold it as evil then it is tuly evil, some sort of principle of universal evil?

No one is evil. Absolutely no one. Oh, I'm sure you can find someone who commits many "evil" acts, but they probably don't consider themself evil. And you could probably even find someone who thinks they're evil, but they probably don't actively run around doing "evil" things. But no one is evil because, as Celtic so succinctly put it, evil doesn't exist.

I get what you are saying, Celtic. An interesting topic.

I'll have to think on this some more.

However, I will say off the top of my head that I think evil is a term for more general evils that the majority of the human population agree are evil.
