Is religion solely about worship? Look at Islam, for example. Islam is more than just a religion; it's a way of life, with rules to govern every aspect.
The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition are the same. Every Ferengi lives according to those rules, so it is a religion at least in a certain sense.

I think it is beter to live on your knees because god is more that a religion he is someone to comfort you when you are alone or sad and he is someone for everyone to blame everything on good or bad (usually bad more than good)
