My youth group is having a meeting on Sunday night about creating a new ministry for newly high school graduates through early twenties. We are meeting to discuss topics/issues for this new ministry. The purpose of the ministry is that young adults can transition from the youth group to the adult ministries but still have something that is their own without graduating out of something just because they are done with high school. So, I've got a couple ideas already but I want to hear from you guys. If you were going to join this kind of ministry, what would you want from it?

Since most of us are thinking about going to college or actually going, I was thinking about doing something along the lines of dealing with the pressures that go along with college. We are in the real world now with real world pressures. It's not going to be anything like high school. Another idea I had was to pick a group or organization to get involved with each month or something like that to not only give back to the community, but to teach us more appreciation for what we are blessed with. For example: go to a soup kitchen on a Saturday or on a holiday, raise money for a charity, etc.

I really wanted to do that at my church...we have a great HS group, but none of the churches in the city have a college group... I'd love to hear what you've got...
