However, dismissing Waldo as a mere wanderer does a great disservice to his vast complexity. It is clear that the author intends Waldo's eternal quest as more an allegory than a mere child's amusement. What might he be an allegory for? The character of Waldo is rife with symbolic meaning.

quote:
For we, as a capitalistic economy and a moral society, do know the dangers of the color red. Not only can it signify an end to classes and a beginning to the elite and the proletariat, it can also signify a plot to undermine parents and God's authorities and turn our little angels into prostitutes. You may believe I am far fetched and laugh at me, but what do you think happened to little Mary Jean who begged her mother for a Where's Waldo sweatshirt then went skipping off into the morning never to be seen again? That is right, some pervert saw her and she became a prostitute, all because of the red she was wearing.

I use to love Waldo as a child...

*weeps*

Save me!

That does not matter, I have God on my side. The NON-COMMUNIST, ANTI-PROSTITUTION God, I might add.

Then how should we go about his destruction?

In addition, to my previous comments, I have wondered why Waldo expects children to find him, and not adults. Is this an underlying strategy of the enemies, attempting to brainwash our children and use them as a means to procure an eventual Communistic States of America? I do believe so, and I believe that a stop must be put to it.

For we, as a capitalistic economy and a moral society, do know the dangers of the color red. Not only can it signify an end to classes and a beginning to the elite and the proletariat, it can also signify a plot to undermine parents and God's authorities and turn our little angels into prostitutes. So you see, my comrades in arms, although Waldo is an allegory for God, he is Satan in disguise, trying to make us believe that God values Prostitution and Communism. I will stand for this no longer. Waldo must go!

No, I did not. Just thought I'd point out the fear deep within your soul that we all know exist but that you refuse to confess. Wink

Alas, I have been moved to think in ways I have never thought before. I must question in your ideas, however, the fact that Waldo is always seen wearing red. Does that make him a communist? And if so, does that make Jesus and God communists as well? Oh Hell, does that mean inside all of us a little bit of Lenin and Marx are speaking, begging, pleading, to a rise of communism?

Is it really that late, to be thinking of theories like this?

Consider first the following question: where is Waldo? The most obvious interpretation, of course, is that Waldo is symbolic of God. Thus, the process of searching for Waldo is in fact an allegory of man's eternal quest for spiritual meaning. Like God, Waldo is omnipresent. I mean, damn. Look at him go. One minute he's at the beach, the next minute he's off in ancient Rome hanging out with the Emperor. You know who else hung out in ancient Rome? Jesus.

*falls off the chair from laughing so much*

quote:
Where is Waldo? He is inside you, in every possible way.

Better hope he's wearing protection.

Well..that's umm..nice to know...I think...
