This Tuesday, when students across the country go back for their first day of school, President Obama will give a speech encouraging hard work and education. That's a nonpartisan message we can all get behind, right? Not according to conservative critics who want the message blocked from schools!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/...l?hpid=moreheadlines

A quote from the article: "Jim Greer, chairman of the Florida Republican Party, said the speech is an effort to "spread President Obama's socialist ideology" and "justify his positions" on health care, the economy and taxes. Conservative columnist Michelle Malkin claimed that "the left has always used kids in public schools as guinea pigs and as junior lobbyists for their social liberal agenda."

Seriously? Since when has our country become so polarized and politicized that the president can't say "work hard and stay in school" without it causing an uproar? What do y'all think?

Ha, don't hold back now, Wolfie. Tell us how you really feel Wink Yeah, it's pretty insane the kind of smears Obama has received -- he's a Muslim, he's a terrorist, he's a socialist, he's a foreigner. I think a lot of people don't want to come out and say they don't like him because of the color of his skin, so they try to hide it under all kinds of crazy attacks.

That said, I'm sure a lot of his critics are just embittered neocons who are angry they've lost a lot of power in Washington and who are trying desperately to foil any plans the president has. I'm frustrated because I think this administration is a lot more open to compromise and working across party lines than those in the past, and it doesn't seem like anyone is trying to find common ground.

No, I am ready to run up to every republican and smack them in the face.

They're just being racist pigs. It's so blatantly obvious. Plus they're all pissed lately since their nice little set-up in the government has been destroyed.

So, it's fine for Bush to put intelligent design, prayer and no child left behind into our schools, but it isn't okay for Obama to give them a speech?

Who cares if he does 'justify his opinions.' THAT JUST MEANS HE'S EXPLAINING HIS EFFING BELIEFS!! Plus, most kids in school won't even be old enough to ever vote for him. Seriously why the hell do these morons have to make our president's job so much harder. We finally have a decent president after almost a decade of being ruled by man with enough brains to fill an egg cup and yet all the conservatives, bible thumpers, and hicks have to have a freak out over every goddamn thing.

It's racism. Sorry. But it really truly is.

Wow, can you tell I'm irritated?

i stand for love and peace!
