no way! me and my brother used to live in a really abusive family but CPS rescued us....now we live with a really awesome foster family that loves us.
but our real parents totally sucked!

I would rather live with my mom and wish my dad never exsisted, he treats me like shit, we always get into fist fights, arguments, he complains about everything, he tells me to stop being such a god damn pussy (acutally what he says) yet he complains about how the government is screwing us over and complains of knee problems. When I stand up for myself we get into fights, sometimes brutal fight (im not joking). When my mom on the other hand, doesnt do shit to help out with the family, doesnt have a job, mooches off of my dad, claims she has a disability but doesnt, whines a lot, but at least we never fight and she actually cares about me, but they wont get a divorce because of me and my little brother.

If you're going to bring God into this, you should know that the bible says "Honor thy Mother and Father", which means, do what they tell you to do. Seriously, if parents didn't control their children's lives everyone would have no structure or discipline. I hated my mom for being so strict, but now I'm extremely thankful because if it weren't for her I'd be using drugs, drinking too much, having sex with strangers, and everything else stupid kids my age tend to do. And Chris Rock had a strict mother, I'd say he's doing alright for himself...

No No No No. Parents are grown people that think they have control of their children's lifes. But they doesnt, God does. They have no right to boss kids around and forcing them to do stuff.

i think its a known fact through a teens life there are many instances where we do infact think our parents suck..its a natural thing do to , we dont get our way sometime or we are restricted from doing something and we immediately hate them and dont actually think about all the good things they have done for us...soo yehhh all parents suck every once in a while lol

No, not all parents suck. I think that there are times where parents have the potential to suck. My mother is amazing and does a LOT to help out with whatever she can. I'm not on the same good terms with my father, so that is a little different. I mean, I normally avoid him and it works out just fine that way. Sometimes I don't speak to my mom because of something that she won't or can't understand and I get angry. I think that you are probably looking at the pessimistic side of things, or things that they do wrong and not what they do right. Then again, the post was started in 2004, so things might have changed for some people.

My parents trusted me. My parents don't suck. They drive 6+ hours round trip to get me, last year I was stressed out, and they came and got me last minute. Also, when I was really sick, they drove 3 hours to take me to the emergency room, then let me spend the night in the hotel room instead of going back to the dorms. My mom also will make me food when I'm working on a paper/project/Calculus, and will do a lot of things for me. My parents really don't suck. Not at all.

my parents suck also... but i understand it isnt all there fault, they frustrate me because they dont know how to handle me. if i have an 'attitude' there punishment outweighs the crime so then i rebel which is the obvious retaliation and end up getting into more trouble than its worth from that i decide not to speak to them unless it is necessary...it works quite well, i still eknowledge they are there and treat them respectably i just choose not to be close to them i would recommend it to anyone who is having problems and it doesn't have to be permanent it can be a temporary thing in which to test the waters

Dude same with my fukin parents cept for the cheating part. it fuckin sucks. if we argue we never acomplish anything and we end up in eachothers faces and my dad never makes fuckin sence. i hate it so fucking much! im almost 15 and i cant even go to the fucking movies with my friends cuz my mom is all up my ass bout the "black people" im an independant person and i can get myself out of a bad situation if somethings wrong. im not a fuckin retard! |

I hate my parents. All they taught me was how not to raise young children. For instance, never EVER take a 10 year old (me) to a 16 year old (my sister)'s birthday dance/simulated sex party. In fact, don't ever let a 16 year old have a party like that ever. God, my parents suck....

My parents are awesome. I have earned their trust. I think that is a big issue among parents and their children. I let them know where I am and what I am gonna be doing. I call and check in with them occasionally and they are awesome. My parents support me in whatever it is I am doing. I thank God for them each day.

mine are actually pretty cool right now. I mean i just got suspended for smoking on campus during lunch and they were petty cool about it.
