I kinda used to cut myself, it wasn't to get a high out of pain, it was to see how far I would actually go, I wanted to know if I had the guts...or maybe more like the cowardness to take my life away.

yes it would. let her get over her problems. my life was ruined when someone saw my cuts and told their parents. it was ruined, and that led to a couple suicide attemps. putting attention on them would only make it worse, i would know.

That is exactly what it is. "To get high from the pain." She might think she's done something really "bad" to someone/something or herself. So she wants to "punish" herself. She probably is very depressed about what she has "done" or what's going on in her life. Tell her that your worried about her and that you want her to stop. And ask her for more reasons on why she is doing "it". But, you should really tell an adult. I used to cut myself, because I thought I was "bad." Or "deserved" the pain.
