OMG!!! I'm so stupid... I went to an EDIFI meeting this morning and during the interview the lady told my dad that he could cancel within five days, but never told us how. WHAT DO I DO?! Will they automatically drain my dad's bank account or what?! He gave her a credit card number. Also, has any ever successfully canceled their contract? Lastly, on one section of the contract where it says"Buyer(s): You and your mean each buyer above jointly and individually", there are two spaces for names. My dad put his first name on the first line and last name on the second (it says "each buyer above jointly and individually") so does that mean the contract is void since the buyer name is XXX XXXX and not XXX and XXXX?

I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!

Hello,

I was trying to find the number for Edifi and I happened to come across your message. I guess it must be fate. Well anyway, I signed up with Edifi back in February of this year. I will let you know I have tried to cancel my contract many times after I got wind of all their bad publicity, but not avail. Fortunately for you you can still cancel your contract, but you must do it quickly. Basically how it works is they take out the amount stipulated with your payment plan every month on the day that you, I assume, also stipulated. They will start doing that once your grace period is up on the end of the five days. Your best bet is to call their main number and press two when the operator answers. That will send you to the payment department and most likely the person you talk to will have the authority to void your contract. I would suggest that you document everything about this correspondence, for instance write down when you called, have your parents, be with your parents, or have a family friend be present when the call is made so that they can serve as a witness or even record the conversation if you can so they can serve as evidence in your favor if an issue arises. Edifi strikes me as a somewhat slimy company so I would be careful. They should have their phone number on the paper work that they gave you at your interview, but on the chance that you lost track of it here it is: 1-(800) 869-0220. Good luck and I hope things turn out well for you. If you any other concerns feel free to contact me.
