Question:
I think personally that it is a way of thinking of few people. Every day there is a new religion, and no offenses, I do not believe in that. I only believe that we should belive in one God and accept the terms stablished in each masive religion. For example: catholic, Musulman or even another religion stablished by countries. smile confused

Choices:
I think you are right.
I think thats not correct. (If you chose this please posta reply)
I think it has to be with each, individual feelings and manner of being.

If I want to complain, I have every right to do so. Not that I would, but I could.

I think everyone should absolutely have the right to establish any religion that they think is appropriate and be able to worship any "God" or other superior person or thing. For those who say there is only "one God"...how do they know that?? Have they seen this one God?? No one knows, different religions have different beliefs, and what gives another person the right to judge someone else's beliefs!!! If someone feels it necessary to worship grass, let them!! If they're not hurting you, then nobody has the right to be complaining!!

I agree, different religions should be stopped at once in favor of a government religion. It could incorporate all the mother-figure law of the land type discipline of christianity, without all that love and peace nonsense. And consumerism should be worked in as well; the nation truly be as one unless we believe EXACTLY the same things.

Doesn't are country stand for freedom of religion?!?! Isn't that why millions of people have come to this country, so they can practice their own religion? mad How would you feel if someone just said "You can't practice your religion" and then they took you off to jail if you continued to believe in your god/dess. You can't tell someone to believe something just like that and you shouldn't try!!
And it would just cause riots all of the country and just make a bigger mess then we already have!!

mad You have to let people choose what they want to believe in and you can't force anything on them!

There are so many wonderful religions out there. I, for one, am captivated by the religious beleifs of the Eastern world for example Buddhism, Hinduism, and Confucianism.
Love that which you can not change wink

Should what one believes in really matter? Sure it would be nice to get our way, but it just won't happen. Ironically the movie Dogma tapped in to something. The line in that film that struck me was "It doesn't matter what you have faith in just as long as you have faith." I think that has a great deal of truth laced in it.

people are we forgeting the rules that make up this country?? freedom of religion; to be able to believe in any god(s) or not to believe in a god(s) at all. i for one don't believe in god, so in ur logic u would be taking away my rights and forcing me to believe in a god. ain't right i say just ain't right frown

It's a nice thought, but it's impossible. There is no way that you can get every single person on this planet to beleive in one thing. There are always going to be people who are stuck in their ways. Take me for example. I am a Christian. If somebody told me that God wasn't real, and we were all supposed to start worshipping...Monkeys (it's just an example, go with me here), would I? Nope! I'm too strong in my faith. So are the billions of other people who beleive in some higher power...or lack of a higher power. You can't change anyone's mind, nor can you choose what other people beleive. Each person needs to make their own decision about what religion they want to follow.

Why shouldn't we bring every religion together?

Because every religion is different. You can't just tell someone what to believe and make them change just like that!!
I was christian but know im changing to another religion it takes time to change. It's been more than 6 months for me and it's still gonna take probably 3 more years before i can fully beleieve in it.

Well I think that everyone has a right to choose which religion they practice and thats the beauty of being in america we can choose to be catholic or satanists. But what I dont agree with is people who try and force their views upon someone else. Now I do believe that christians should go forth and teach what they have learned but you really should never force someone to believe what you believe even if you think they are wrong. That I think is going over board. Because most of the time instead of opening the door and letting them learn you slam it in their face and then they walk away! No one likes people to force things upon them, but if you step back and ease into it then maybe you will learn something from them and vise versa.

Well first of all, I've gotta say that I didn't really understand what you said, LoudlyGirl.

And what I understand, I don't agree with. I think it's really beautiful that people have found so many different ways to honor and nourish or spiritual selves. Hooray for diversity!

religion i feel is a personal choice no one should be forced to follow a single religion .different religions preach different things some people dont even believe in god so you cant really force something on some one.people are real sensitive when it comes to religion so the less said the better but i personally feel that all religions basically say the same thing it's the people who really draw the lines......here is an example....think about it.....
"diwALI RAMzan who are we to draw the lines?"

first off, flow, that is a tight metaphor!
(what's more, my local coffe shop has way better mocha than Starbucks! razz )

second, no way, every1 has to have their own deal. One realigion (or three or twenty) isn't right for everyone. That's conformity, and is practically the same as saying everyone needs to be christian.

and we wouldn't even have religions like protestantism if people had always gone along with major religions. We wouldn't even have christianity in general.

Major religions are not for me. Gaianism floats my boat and it does a fine job of it. It is right for me and that's what matters.

I think if I'm looking for a coffee in the morning, I should have more options than Starbucks or Tim Hortons. If I like the little shop at the end of my block, why should I not get my coffee there? Just because it's not one of the "massive' coffeeshops doesn't mean that it won't have exactly what I'm looking for. And who are you to tell me otherwise?

Also, could you edit your post Loudlygirl? Though I think I kind of understand you, your grammar lacks real clarity. And praytell, what is "Musulman"?

I agree... there is but one god, and his name is Jim. Come, let us all follow Jim... Jim is the one true word, and the one true word is Jim. Go forth and kill in Jim's name, for Jim shall let you into his trailer park in the sky where cheap beer flows like water.
