Whether or not Avril has always been a punk doesn't matter. People are allowed to change their style, and unless you know her personally, how can you say she's fake? And no offense, but don't you have anything better to talk about than a celebrity? If she annoys you just don't listen to her music or read articles about her.

I know lumping people into categories make life easier but I mean, give it a rest. There is no real difference between punks and preps. It's just that preps are idealistic and do whatever is okayed by the media. Most of them live for the next School Spirit Activity.
Punks refuse to follow the masses of happy-go-luckians, because they know REAL people aren't happy all the time.
Yes, punk is in, and Avril Lavigne pledges punk. She started the whole trend and made people realize what these preps refuse to.
