At my school an anti war club got cancelled by a teacher because she thought it 'could cause a riot'. Are schools really need sorting out!

...at least the students at your school actually care enough to start a club like that. In our school, supposedly one of the best in the state, most wouldn't even think of attempting to start a club against war. Undoubtedly it would not be allowed, but even if it was, it would only attract fewer than 10 members anyway. Apathy seems to have affected most of us...and it seems to be a irreversable thing, not to mention the fact that each year the younger classes get more and more apathetic, fail more classes, and get more violent. It makes me wonder what exactly is up with our schools.

What,who's 2 affend that rite there creates a prob. already. If ppl stop worrying bout what affends them & just use yur words u woodnt have this type uv prob.War,violence can i just b the 1st. 2 say there "just words" w/no meaning.Like the saying goes Stick & stones may Break my bones butt words may never hurt me. SMArtypants has a good pt. bout speeking out using yur voice 2 get sumwhere w/the skools & all! Well I hear u lound & clear so so keep on voicing aloud & hopefully u get sumwhere. If yur gonna have a good riot, make it count so all the teaches will hear u. let them no whats up!

We have an "anti-war" club in our school...only it has to be called the "anti-violence" club, so as not to offend anyone.

"Yeah...riots are cool" you twit. It doesn't do anything but reflect negativly upon you and your group.

yeah it would have been cool if there was a riot as long as no one got hurt! Anyway the School Council r now going to decide if we can have the club

in my opinion it would have been cool if they started a riot they would have been speaking their voice and a teacher shouldnt have a club canceled because all ur doing is speaking out and hoping some1 will hear u and speak out 2
was it only 1 teacher who thought a riot would start or was it like a bunch of teachers,the principal, or like a school administrator????
but thats besides the point
but that school needs to be straightened out a little and accept the fact that many kids have different opinions and should be able to start and be in clubs that interest them or wateva.
