Ok, I'm asking these questions honestly, and when you fit into a category, be honest about it, because I think I know the reason so many smart teens hate school...

1) Have you ever laughed as some1 stuttered when reading an assignment outloud to the class?

2) Have you ever stared at some1 for wearing a t-shirt that didn't go with their pants, or just because the color wasn't popular?

3) Are there any kids who just don't fit in, but you don't know why, every1 else stays away so u do the same?

4) Is there any1 teased about getting bad grades?

5) Any1 teased about GOOD grades?

6) Any1 considered a geek, nerd, or just wierd?

Well, believe it or not, I fit into ALL those categories, and have considered skipping more than once because of it.

Whats going on with this world and stereotyping? It's everywhere and people dont even realize that they're doing it. Some people dont even know what they're talking about.

Think about it, how many times a day do you hear,
"Thats so gay" "You ***" "You retard" how many times a week do your parents blame everything on "You're SUCH a teenager!"
That makes me so mad.
Everyone thinks that all gay guys are gonna be prissy and talk with a lisp and crap, and that gay girls are ****s
People think that if you wear black all the time your going to be this evil little demon child or something.
Parents are always saying things like how horrible their kids are becuase they're teenagers and "going through a phase"
Please tell me that this annoys someone else!

1) No, absolutely not. I have a friend who stutters and she already has enough self esteem problems with having people who love her laugh at her for speaking differently than them.

2) Yes, but it was in admiration. I always wanted to be the one who didn't care what aother people thought and just wore whatever the hell I wanted to in school, but peer pressure always stopped me. I wanted to be accepted more than being myself, I guess. I was always glad SOMEONE didn't care. It made me feel less alone.

3) Yes, there are kids who are weird and most people stay away from them, but I have a tendency to be attracted to them... I'm not really sure why. Maybe I see myself (or myself potentially) in them and do what I would want someone else to do for me if I were in their situation: hang out with them and generally try to be their friend.

4) Yes, but when I hear teasing about bed grades, I always try to stop it and change the subject. The poor person has enough problems trying to get their grades up without having to deal with their battered self esteem too.

5) Hm... I suppose, but that's rare. Anyway, if that happened to me, I'd just take it as an underhanded compliment. After all, if the person is teasing you about having good grades, chances are they DON'T have good grades and have to take you down some other way. Basically, they're trying for a low blow. If that ever happened to me, I'd just seriously pity the person trying to insult me.

6) Yes, most definitely, but there are more than one, so they (we, I should say, because I'm part of it) have their (our) own little group.

I never did find the point in matching.
3. No, it just gives me more reason to try to be a good friend to them.
4. Yea, but they'll call the person 'stupid.' Thats about it.
5. Maybe now people do, but we'll see whos laughing when the person with the failing grades ends up working at Mc Donalds, and the person with Straight A's ends up a millionair.
6. Yes, I'm a geek!and a dork! Wahoo! It's just a word. No big deal. Everyones human, thats all that should matter. But since it doesn't I'd pick dorky over prepy ANY day.

yes i have laughed when they stutter! but usually it is my friend--or sumone really annoying i do that to.

stare at illgotten clothes? yes! lord jesus i do! sorry--yeah i just can't help it. it's in my family. my mom is the head color expert for polo ralph lauren. she decides if the colors are right or not, so i can't help it. it grows on me. blah. but i don't stare to be mean!

there are ppl who don't fit in yes, but that's not the reason i don't hang with them. they don't fit in for a reason. like they are unbearbly annoying or unreasonably mean.

in my school no one is teased about bad grades--cuz that's all the preps make! (no offense but it's true at my school, well at least for the guys). the only time you are teased is when they are playing

yes you get made fun of if you get good grades-but it's like above ^. usually it's harmless

there are geeks at my school. some are cool. and some you just want to throw down the stairs.

So I am in the middle

1. I laugh when I stutter... which I do a lot... but I don't laugh when some1 else stuttters.

2. no why should I? I don't care... there only clothes... I don't match either so what?

3. no I hang out w/ people that I want to hang out w/ I don't care what any1 else thinks

4. no! every1 @ my school thinks bad grades are a good thing... how stupid

5. Yes Iv'e been teased because I get good grades, but after what I saw to them they shut up.

7. No, I don't feel bad, I don't make fun of people everyones there own person... but I feel bad when I see someone get picked on, but I talk to them afterwards & they always laugh (people think I'm funny even though I don't)

OK, i didnt read everyones replies so i might be off topic but imma just answer the questions i guess lol.....

1) Only when people read totally wrong words but then catch themselves its hilarious... like, they say "snitch" instead of "sandwich" LOL it sounds real bad but its the same person and she always laughs too, so its not mean.....

2) LMAO WOW im like the worst person to talk to about fashion lol i wear nice stuff, but i dont know how to match lol (light blue shorts with a red shirt lol it was grrreat)

3) Heck no, ask anyone i know... im friends with like everyone and im nice to people and i especially stick up for em when people talk smack...

4) Not myself and usually not other people in my school, dunno why though

5) Ya but ive never REALLY been top grade so it wasnt always me... i love congratulating people cuz then they later help me a lot lolol... (not cheat, study n crap)

6) Well definitely there are people, but im not one of them, i got a pretty good social status.

It just makes people look good or bad, and who ever made it that the popular group were the Average-Grade-Apathetic-to-the-world-and-the-fun-stuff-in-it-Athletic-Rich-20/20-and-supermodel-People?
I get pretty good grades, I'm sorta Athletic but not much, I'm so driven wild about what happens in the world, and i enjoy going dressed up to the movie theatre just to be silly, and I'm one of the poorest kids in my class(or what was my class)and I have perfect vision but a normal body-yet skinny as a noodle.The only thing that doesn't really fit into 'nerd' or 'geek' is my eyesight and my ROTC. Yet no one has ever put me into any group.
It just depends one who you know, and I don't give a dime about it.I'll hang with those I want to hang with, and if you don't like it, that's your problem

Let me get this STRAIGHT........if you hang out with somebody who does these things and don't correct them this makes you a terrible person? WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE PEOPLE? So if you hang out with someone who has bad grammar and you don't correct them that makes YOU have bad grammar? And why is being politically correct a GOOD thing?? They're the kind of people who don't say "ugly" they say "beautifully impared". Puh-LEASE!!! Because I get decent grades I am called the smart kid. I hate when a teacher picks the groups for group work unless I'm with other people who get fairly good grades because if I'm with a few "popular" people then they just sit there and say well your the smart kid don't you know the answer. I mean because I get a 4.0 I'm called the smart kid or Ms.4.0. Wanna know why I got a 4.0 my classes were easy. They were Health, History (we don't really do anything in that class), Gym, English (only 1 easy assingment a day). It doesn't mean I know everything or that I study constantly. It just comes naturally and I won't apologize for that. At my high school in most classes all you have to do is do your work and you get an A or B.

For a while I was. In other places, I would hang with them, but not in public. Then I saw one of them get picked on and I stood up for them. Now being "cool" or "popular" doesn't matter to me. I'm proud to finally be able to say that.

Half the kids at my school have bad grades. The only teasing that goes on for bad grades in between friends when they say things like, "Dude, you're gonna be so grounded!" or,"And I thought I was in deep."

5) Any1 teased about GOOD grades?
Only one kid, and mostly because he rubed in everyone's face that he did better than they did. He says that in turn, "It makes me better than you!" What a jerk!

6) Any1 considered a geek, nerd, or just wierd?
DUH! But lately I've been sticking up for them, and so have some of my REAL friends who don't care about being "popular".

I feel guilty cause I used to be someone who cared about childish things, but now I'm over it. I grew up, and am proud to announce it.
Please be proud of me too.

I fit in some of these catagories, and so I don't do them to other people...like reading, I can say my words correctly when I am not tired or give more efforts, but I am the one that gets teased. As far as grades, a lot of people don't like me, and my friends, we never compare grades. And about being a geek, nerds, or just weird..that's what everyone calls me, and I am used to it. Although I am in a club that is working to prevent it.

I don't even know what is popular so I don't make fun if something on someone doesn't exactly look right. You never know, that could be the only thing they have so it's surely impossible for them to wear anything different. There was this one girl who made fun of the things I wear and I felt terrible.
