Personally I have been defined as a prep at my school but it doesn't really bother me. I have my own view on what a prep is and I'm sure you have yours. But not all of us are stuck up. I mean I am a total girl which people get annoyed with but that is who I am. If they can't deal with my low tolerance of dirty "stuff", bugs, materialism, bubbly personality, etc. then they can go blow themselves because it's who I am with or with out the "label".

How many of these threads are on here? Really i think people should stop judging on looks and stuff like that cuz anybody can be rude or stuck up and anybody can be nice and sweet. PLEASE stop judging people b4 you get to kno them.

i think everyone might be "preppy" to a certian degree, but will not "admit" it b/c preps are looked down upon as being unfriendly snobs.

well i think it's labels like preppy, goth, jock, nerds etc that make highschool so hard. If you are instantly labeled then your stuck with that label for your highschool life! people shouldn't label or judge people that they don't know. personally i don't have a problem with preppy people. i'm not preppy and i do listen to punk and rock music but i have no problem with preppy people, just people who act ditzy on purpose and people who do things just to fit in and don't reach their full potential.

Get over yourselves people. Labels are inaccurate and are a very ignorant way to classify people.

Punks are not cool, because there are no true punks. You are all wannabes.

Preps are not evil, you just hate them because they are succeeding in school and you are not.

People who self mutilate are not cool, because hurting yourself is not good for you.

Bisexuals and homosexuals are not cool/uncool because sexual orientation has absolutely nothing to do with your personality.

i cant stand preppy people the walk around the school mocking and laughing at people they dont even no the Will NOT hang out with anyone inless there cool or "poppular" personaliy i use to be a prep and big prep then on day my "friends" stared calling this realli nice kid names and laughin and pointin when the kid fell i walk away and refused to be friends with them i might have lost my popularity but i dont relli care anymore i did for a bit not being in the middel of everything having fun flirting with guys that u dont no and then leaving sure its fun but every year i seem to hate them more and more there stuck up and selfconsumed i hate them im the kinda person who dosen't give a **** what ppl think of me they can suck my penis if u dont like me or my message i dont relli give a ****

I think these labels are so stupid and funny. In fact, in high school, at one time, I could have fit the label of a preppy, goth, popular, nerd, geek, and so on. Labels are odd things.

Ahem, I say this because they are mean to me.

Preps are cool. I hang with them all the time. Some people define them by their clothing like Abercrombie haha I'm wearing that now, Aeropostale, clothes like that or their personality like if they're bubbly and very hyper with very limitetd language.

Today I was walking to the bus and talking to this guy that I haven't talked to in a long time, and he said,"You know, you used to be so uncool, but now you are as preppy as they get." It was so weird. I don't know why he describes me as that, but the people I hang out with also do. I guess, maybe because I wear "preppy" clothes a lot, but not all the time, I have some popular friends(well, they are mostly older guys at my school, a few sophmore guys, and a few sophmore girls.), oh yeah, I am also really "good", I don't do the redneck things they do, like going and getting drunk every weekend.

I dont believe in putting catagories on people but most would fit the goth/ "punker" what a ****in stupid word and or and preps My friend just got out of counseling for self mutalation. Oh yea 7 of my friends are bi and 2 are lesbian and 1 is gay. Turn your caps off you are an ingnorant ******* with or without them

Mabye your definition but there isnt really a defintion of any catagory of people in the dictionary. Your just making assumptions because you are too ignorant to get to know people who look/dress differently than you.

How can preppy people not be stuck up? That's like one of the main trademarks of a preppy person. They are stuck up and don't give a rats @ss about anybody else.

I don't like judging someone who has a label on them. There may be a really sweet kid whos goth but don't expect me to hang out w/ them.
All my friends are prep and we're not snobs though everyone thinks we are. In my school it's the majority that's preps so it rocks cuz we don't have to put up with that skid/goth stuff all the time
