loc - but those are more mature reasons to use drugs. as far as young teens go - i think that a lot of them fall to peer pressure (which really overlaps with trying to fit in and having friends doing it).
in general, i wouldn't want anyone under the age of 14 to experiment with drugs because i don't think the majority of them can handle it in a responsible manner. some people are never old enough to handle drugs in a responsible manner. i see 13 year olds rolling at raves and i just cringe.
if you can't use drugs without hindering your lifestyle, then you're not old enough to handle drugs. if you are able to, as many people are, then you use drugs for the reasons loc stated.

None of those are real reasons to use drugs. Despite what the DARE pigs have brainwashed into you, people do drugs because they want to, because they want a new experience, because they want to perceive things in a new way, and to feel good.
