It's only because i wear converse a.k.a. "Chucks". The flamie ones. Whenever i walk by, there's always this guy that goes ehooo..a greaser. I just give him the finger every time, but i'm about ready to bust his face in.

___How awful! I can't believe somebody at school called you a greaser. The nerve of them. It's too bad that the things other people say are always true. You'll just have to find another way to make everybody love you.

Most of the people in my school are preppies and they dress like it. *Shudder* Now me (on the other hand): My favorite outfit is my Marvin the Martian t-shirt with blue jeans and a leopard print skirt. My hippopotamus scrunchie completes the outfit. Am I crazy? Oh yes, indeed. Clothing is another one of those wonderful ways of self-expression. Thank goodness I can wear whatever the bloody heck I want to my school! PS) My second favorite outfit is my WARNING: MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES t-shirt with blue jeans and a black slip. My black arm cuffs complete the outfit.

There are over 3000 students at my high school so people dress in allll sorts of ways. There's this one kid who wears a kilt every Wednesday. Last year we had formal fridays and the nerdier kids wore suits. One of the funniest days at my school is toga day, when people dress in togas. It's usually mostly the kids who take Latin, and they reenact stuff from ancient Rome. The best tradition by far is Senior Streak Day. Seniors wear masks and run naked through the courtyard then out the school gates into "getaway" cars. The administration works really hard to make sure this day doesn't happen, but the streakers are really stealthy and won't tell people when it's going to happen. But usually people find out and people line up in the courtyard leaving a path through the middle for people to run. It's pretty funny, though I saw it last year and don't have a particular desire to witness it again. Later! AtomicSneeze

Fashion is an art. As with all art, originality is core. Don't follow the crowd - Create your own style, which, by the way, you can still incorporate trends into if you want.
A trenchcoat in Florida? eek..Fashion victim!

I totally agree. Fellow males, this is what is called a, "Win-Win" situation. -Sivad

quote: I think clothing is great and I like being nicely dressed but I don't think it should define who you are. You are still you, with or without your clothes.
And I think that is the bottom line. It boggles my mind that this thread has expanded to 4 pages. There are only two things you should care about in clothing: 1. Is this comfortable? and 2. Does this look good on me? Note that in no circumstances is number 2 to supercede number 1. Anyone who uses clothes as their primary judgment as a person is obviously a blithering idiot anyway. The only exception to this is when I see someone outside wearing a trench-coat (I live in Florida) in a pathetic attempt at pseudo-coolness, and am then forced to burst into spleen-damaging laughter. There's nothing wrong with wanting to look stylish, but if looking stylish requires you to unleash gallons of sweat and almost pass out from heat exhaustion, it just isn't worth it. But as for the brand-name, clique nonsense, no one gives a crap. I implore everyone just starting highschool or middle school to end such idiotic trends. -Sivad

___I like people without clothes better... even if it's someone I think is nasty, I'd still find the situation to be hilairious. Plus clothes are resticting and it's unfair(and sexist) how most places only guys are allowed to take their shirts off and go topless.

They dress like they have clothes on that they bought at a store, that they paid for. *ding, ding, ding* Right answer.
If you judge people on what they are wearing you're an insecure, ******* that needs to get your head checked.

that kinda shows your insecurity with yourself and kinda goes against the image your trying to get that you dont care what people think of you.

So basically... you care what other people think of you therefore you need to dress in a certain way in order to make sure they don't assume you like a sort of music that despises you.

I think you do need clothing to define who you are. Because i'm black right (half) and when i didn't dress punk, people assume i liked hip-hop. (steriotyping) And then when i tell them i like punk and metal they act all shocked. So for me, I NEED clothing to define at least something about me to other people.
(sorry if i made a typo)

Why label people and put stereotypes on them. Your clothing should not define who you are.

"""s-l-u-t-s""" """what the **** was that for?""" ___My guess is that it's an identity reality check.
"""worked together against me lol.""" ___First of all life is too short to spend it laughing at your own jokes. Secondly, since when is forming a retort to something idiotic(on my part) teaming up with someone I couldn't care less about? He mentioned me not the other way around, and the "against you" part is only too easy and obvious not to be.
___We weren't fighting with each other, just with that other idiot(you two might get along).
