It may be early in the year, but there are a number of us who have already started this process. This is our thread to talk about everything class of 2007 college career related! Wahoo. Where are you applying and what are you planning to major in? I'm keeping my options open so I'm applying to two completely separate programs. 6 year pharmacy: - NorthEastern - University of the Pacific - UConn Chemistry and Music Double major: - Boston University - Johns Hopkins/Peabody - Oblerin - NorthWestern - University of Hartford - Umass Amherst "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

Hey congrats on getting in there Worth. Personally I think you're crazy to want to go to Harvard for undergrad but to each her own. I've been accepted to Eckerd and APU, and decided not to apply to Mount Holyoke. Now we just have to wait for everybody else to get back to me.... *sigh*

I got into NCSU. App keeps saying they haven't received my transcript (it's been sent twice) but I don't really care...I'm going to go to State over App any day. Still no word from UGA, Cornell, or Harvard. I did, however, have my Harvard interview and it went fairly well. I pretty much don't want to go to college anymore. Lots of reaons behind that...but it doesn't really matter...my parents will probably force me into it anyway.

Ha ha, sorry but UAA doesn't appeal to me. Alaska Pacific U is in Anchorage though, and right next to UAA. That'd be awesome if we both ended up in Anchorage.

Kate convinced me to apply to Berkley instead of UC Davis. I just don't really want to go to UNR, especially if I don't get into the honors program. """Oh wait you mean high-school.... Razz""" No need to make fun of us, Glove. You're the old creep who's still on YN...you and Joey Dauben. ;]

*cough*University of Detroit Mercy*cough* I'm telling y'all...consider it. Especially if you're thinking dental, engineering, science in general or architecture. (We have a six year dental program, and all sorts of five year masters programs...the most popular being architecture.) Of course, I love the political science department too. If you're looking for a smaller school, it's DEFINATELY one to consider. (The biggest class I've ever had was 35 students, and the norm for me is 20...)

That is basically what I told him. We discuss things like that very openly and I always give my opinion but end it up with, "No matter what you decide, I will support you." Because, ultimately, it is his life. It is clear, that I would much rather he not re-enlist but I would never ever tell him he couldn't. If he decides to do so, I will be totally supportive! I was even going to support him in staying in Japan another year when he was considering it!

Thats good... take your time, wait for him to figure out what he wants to do with his military career and be supportive no matter what you want.

I've been told several times than an English degree is very versatile. But, no matter. I am really just majoring in subjects I enjoy, regardless of where the degree will lead. My boyfriend is doing well. I don't know if you remember, but he is stationed in Okinawa, Japan and has been there since May...almost six months since I last saw him now. This is the longest we have ever been apart so it is starting to get really difficult. However, he will be home in about another month for Christmas and will stay for about three weeks. Sometime during those three weeks, he is also asking me to marry him. Don't worry, we won't get married for another few years! He was promoted to Corporal in August so he is now not at the bottom of the food chain (I'm sure you know but, just in case, Pvt-Lcpl is all considered the same --- low, low, low). He likes Japan a lot...but hates being so far away all the time. He definitely will not request to stay in Japan for another year once his two years are up but is still undecided about re-enlisting. That's about all the news on that end!

I had a friend that went to Ithica School of Music... relatively close to my alma mater as well. Oh and don't major in English unless you want to be lonely and unemployed... also how is your boyfriend doing?

Appalachian State --> Dad wanted me to apply somewhere else in the state and a friend of mine who goes there wants to me to come and play on the drumline with him. N.C. State --> I just love State. It may be easy and not the most academic school in the school (unless agriculture or veterinary or engineering is concerned) but I love it. University of Georgia --> It has everything I could possibly ever want except for colder weather. Cornell --> Amazing band. I mean, absolutely amazing. And, hello, Ithaca!!! And...well...it's Cornell. Harvard ---> Well...where else, right? So that's it. I am planning to double major in English and Spanish and minor in Music. I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up but oh well. I'll figure it out one day. I finished applying last week...and what a load off my shoulders that was! I feel great! Good luck everyone!

UC San Diego UC Santa Barbra UC Davis U of Washington Pepperdine & UNR, because it's cheap. Majoring in biology..or chemistry..but I'm also interested in global studies, so I am sort of undecided. Anyway, I'm struggling with the essays, and UC applications are due ridiculously soon. I am stressed beyond belief. I can write fantastic essays when the don't have to do with me, but apparently I am horrible at talking about myself. Blah.
