Parents are not stupid...even though I have to admit..my parents do get on my nerves sometimes but not to the extent that i want to call them stupid.
Parents really care about us and our well being....one day when you have children you'll understand why.

My dad is an alcoholic, landed my mum with like £90,000 pounds of debt, he left, doesn't pay maintence, is a benefit fraud, i hate him, my mum can only pay off the interest on her mortgauge, we're about to lose our house, i skipped a year in school, i want to be an architect but my mum can't even afford to send me on a school trip to the zoo- never mind uni or art college. life sucks

It depends on the kids point of view. Like my parents are overbearing,overprotective(putting lightly), Controling, Bags of anger but to somekids it just looks like im sheltered more than most people while others get beaten. Shure my physical needs are met but what about the emotional and paycological needs?

my dad really sucks. i hate him so much. he is an alcoholic and treated me and my family like crap. he put my mom through so much hell and grief. honestly if he died right now, i would only be sad cause i would have to travel 15 hours to go to his stupid funeral.

I would rather live with my mom and wish my dad never exsisted, he treats me like shit, we always get into fist fights, arguments, he complains about everything, he tells me to stop being such a god damn pussy (acutally what he says) yet he complains about how the government is screwing us over and complains of knee problems. When I stand up for myself we get into fights, sometimes brutal fight (im not joking). When my mom on the other hand, doesnt do shit to help out with the family, doesnt have a job, mooches off of my dad, claims she has a disability but doesnt, whines a lot, but at least we never fight and she actually cares about me, but they wont get a divorce because of me and my little brother.

If you're going to bring God into this, you should know that the bible says "Honor thy Mother and Father", which means, do what they tell you to do.

Seriously, if parents didn't control their children's lives everyone would have no structure or discipline. I hated my mom for being so strict, but now I'm extremely thankful because if it weren't for her I'd be using drugs, drinking too much, having sex with strangers, and everything else stupid kids my age tend to do.

And Chris Rock had a strict mother, I'd say he's doing alright for himself...
