I love my parents but they can drive me insane sometimes. My mom would let me do something and a few minutes later my dad gets on to me about it.Me and my mom can't seem to get along any more all we do is get into a fight. Me and my dad get along pretty good until he pisses me of and he starts yelling at me over nothing.

My Parents suck! I love them and I would do anything for them...but It's just impossible to live with them. Ever since I can remember my mom's been saying "I don't think I'm gonna live much longer." She's bitches about beeing sick and in pain all the time. She goes to the doctor and they tell her she doesn't have anything, yet she always complains. She blows everything out of proportion and takes everything up the ass. You have to be careful about everything you say because everything offends her. My mother always needs something to bitch at, your room's not clean, you didn't wash the dishes, you need to do this and that...why isn't this done. It's just like SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY! And my dad, well he's been an alcoholic for my entire life. The only time he stoped drinking was for like 1 week when he went to the hospital to treat alcohol related problems. He's cheated on my mother more times that you can count on your hand. He's hit me a couple of time, and by hit I mean punched and kicked, not spanked. He wasn't even in my life till I was 11. But now that he's here he makes me feel like shit all the time. He doesn't care about me and puts me down as many times as he can. WTF is wrong with parents?

I must tell you that your parents love you and most of you love your parents too. I do believe they should listen to your feelings to though

They can drive me crazy sometimes but I know they're trying their best so I try to cut them some slack. I'm not that close to either parent but I can have conversations with both of them. They don't know anything about my personal life though because I'm not one to share and they've never really asked. As far as shallow things go, they do always give me money for shopping and my dad is very rarely weird about me going out with my friends these days. Hell, my mom let me go to a dance this year (Don't think my dad knew about that though). As far as the typical Arab family goes, my parents are a lot stricter than all of my friends, but compared to my cousins we're totally living the good life. My parents are good people *nods*

actually my mom is really cool. she talks to me about everything. We could not be any more closer. However, she does not try to be my friend which i am grateful for. She is my mom and i love her.

You will be more apreciative of your parents when you have to wash your own socks. Moving out actually makes you closer.

Lucky. Being close to one parent is better than being close to none. My mom is to impatient and my dad jokes around to much. I guess that is one reason I mainly turn to my cousins and friends and why we are so close.

Posted by Meagan87: "My mom and I are really close. My dad is an idiot most of the time." Thats explains alot of it. I know what you mean Phantom. My mom goes through pissy stages for like 3 months then she's cool and my dad drinks alot and thats embarassing when people come over. My dad is a constant but my mom's cycle has been like this for like 2 years.

It depends on my grades. And what I've done lately. As of Now, my parents do not suck. But they did about a month ago. It's a cycle.

You don't know that they do that. Everyone has a right to say that their parents suck. Whether or not they are justified does not take away theirright to say so. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

It's really rude, not to mention completely ungrateful to say your parents suck. They put a roof over your head, pay for you, and care for you as you grow up. Get your head out of the gutter and start appreciation people. Just because they don't let you out after nine or don't let you have donuts in the house doesn't mean they suck. Seriously.
