It has happened to me before and I have to say I stopped it in my classes Big Grin But I personally LOVE fighting with racists people I love cause most of the people who say things like that r DUMB AS DIRT and I can easily voice my opinion. And the teachers I stand up to them too. I love argueing about racism and my best friend rolls her eyes when I get going cause theres no stopping me!

Sexist comments made in or out of classrooms is extremly rude. If a comment is made in class then the teacher should take action and punish them however they choose to do so. Such as a lecture or detention. If one is made out of class depending on how extreme the comment really is they should also be punished. Such as people standing up against the person that made the comment or take the matter to the principal. It should be delt with. America has come far over the years and females are still trying to fight their way up the chain in society.females are still trying to fight their way up the chain in society.

Just because a few people say that women should be slaves and they're only good for one thing doesn't mean you should forsake the whole gender. Those guys who say that are just trying to act cool in front of their friends, or worse they're just plain stupid. And if you think being a guy is easy you should think again. At may old school guys and girls had different standards, if a guy teased another person then he would be sent to the office and probably have an in school suspension but if a girl did that nothing would be done. Plus I almost got expellled for playing tackle football at recess, while basically all the guyus would have bruises up and down their legs from girls kicking them. I'll end this with this "Let those without sin through the first stone." think about that

I hate it when guys come up to me and say "shouldn't you be making some cookies or something?". I take auto shop at school, and it just makes me so damn mad. I'll be changing a tire or something and someone will come up and say "dont break a nail!" One day I just got up and pushed him to the ground. I told him if he ever said anything like that to me or to some other gurl again then I would shove him in a trunk and throw away the key. Mad

the teachers are very equal oppurtunity, and my (guy) pe teacher makes us work as hard (or harder!) as the boys class does. i have heard guys say stuff about girls bodies and stuff, but i just slap them... the kitchen, as if.

Well in my school we have boys that like to run off at the mouth and act sexist just like any other school, but the funny thing is that the girls don't just sit there and take it. I personally am not just going to sit there and listen to some sexist crap about women and not add my two cents in. I mean, I'm not a loud mouth or anything, I'm actually usually very quiet, but there are somethings that I just won't stand for. So yeah, you get sick of sexism, but sitting there and taking it doesn't help matters any. Roll Eyes

Yes, i am sick and tired of sexism too. Not just towards girls, but guys too! I've had teachers that do both, and it's extremely annoying. We're both equal, and one without the other is no fun. hehe Wink

How dare you say that a woman's place is in the kitchen. Mad I know guys who cook better than me and I know girls who can't cook at all. Some people's niche are in different places, and just because a being is a woman doesn't mean it should be found in the kitchen and seen not heard. Woman have minds and spirits that give them a sense of worth, and make them happy for what they believe and who they are. Woman have fought long and hard to be able to stand up and say "I am a Woman and I am proud!" Women have been taken for granted for years on end, but now we are not only proving ourselves to men like you, but to ourselves and the world. Women can do anything men can do!
We still settle for less pay and sexism on the job, and having men tell us we are too fat or too skinny, and allowing men to decide our self worth. We allow men to do so much to appease them and make them happy, yet we are strong in oursleves, and no one can take that away!

well i think boyz should waich what they say becuz it could come back and hit them on the head! i mean what is up with that. i have never heard that come out of any of my guy friends before. I ride dirt bikes and hang out with guys and they dont think it is a problem that i hang out with them and i just cant beleive that some men think that they could just tell us what to do like that. i dont ever do what they tell me to. i alwayz go "If u want it u do it ur self and if u dont like that then u r gone!" i dont deal with crap like that and nether should any other girl. Leave the man if he does somethin like that. If he truly did love u he would not do anything like that. Mad Danielle (some guys are just jokin tho)

I go to an all girls school... so although i don't really know what it's like to have sexism directly in the classroom...i sure as heck could go on and on forever about how "all feminists are lesbians." it's very very sickening...when when someone asks where i go to school i say "Bay View" the response that follows is usually "Isn't that an all girls school" i say yep and then they turn and laugh with their friends and walk away. It's automatically supposed that i am a lesbian...which i'm not. i totally hate the fact that i'm afraid to spend too much time with my best friend (a girl) because people who know that i go to an all-girls school have this stupid notion that i'm a lesbian. It's pathetic and i'm TOTALLy sick of it. I can, however tell you how wonderful it is at my school with no guys. And i don't mean to say this with any disrespect to males at all. But it's such an empowering experience to go to school and be involved in every class discussion without feeling inferior. We all wake up everyday throwing our uniform skirts and shirts on over our pajamas, throwing our hair up in a messy ball on the top of our heads and wandering in to class. We don't care at all what we look like...it doesn't matter cuz we have noone to impress... and by the time the graduates go off to college, we've learned that we can say what we want when we want to, and look and act however we want no matter who is present... it's great!!!! and i thank God everyday that i go to my school.
toodles,
Jilly Smile

Do exactly what there doing. Tell them men belong in the kitchen. If they say you're lesbians let them think that, I am sure they will get pissed because they won't have any heterosexual girls to "hit on" and who cares? Sexist *******s don't deserve you. Wink

yea this totally happens in my school. Everyone laughs at the guys' jokes but less of the girls and a whole bunch of crap. But then there's this whole other issue at my school. Some of the guy teachers. Some of them like to give girls that wear skits and low cut shirts better grades simply because they're showing some skin. And i think thats wrong. For me, if i had a teacher give me a good grade i would feel worthless like i can't get a good grade on my own. but thats off the subject. Sorry. But yea i know what its like to have sexism in the classroom. Roll Eyes
