heh. I just remembered something I heard somewhere...This is directed to boys. "A man is the king of his castle. A king is a ruler. A ruler is twelve inches. Still think you're a man?"
heh. I live for things like that.

A friend of mine once asked, if a man says something with no women around, is he still wrong? heh. I thought it was funny. I laughed. Does that mean I am a bad feminist?

Ahh boys, they think they know everything about women, and can say anything about women. Not all boys are a-holes. A lot of things that contribute to what boys say to girls are on tv. A lot of guys think they just need us for one thing. There is one thing I hate that boys do and that is that they try to rule over us. Mad We all girls should know that guys are stronger than us, and thats about it. If boys ever say something sexists to us then that probably means their cowards. Like that old saying guys have two heads but only think with one head. Confused Guys must be confused with their head up there. Eek Its even more mess't up that they have a five letter word which people call a female dog. This is for girls that have been called that, guys are like that too, and they have no right to say something like that, its like calling there mother's that. Guys wouldn't like it if we talked about how small there you know what is Roll Eyes so they shouldn't call us names, not just saying guys are the only ones who make sexists comments but come on guys, if you have any balls you wouldn't say mean things (like I just said), to girls!! Razz

I think Norrow's tendancy to use sarcasm in his posts gives people the wrong idea sometimes!

It amazes me how many people in this world (including you brainy!) could not recognize sarcasm unless it came up and bit them in the ...!

Look, girls, if you hadn't been born as the inferior sex in the first place, guys wouldn't be bashing, taunting, or making fun of you.

Try to see things from their perspective; if you had been born male, everything would be OK, but noooo, you had to have it your own way and be born female, didn't you?

Figures.

In response to EgyptianQueen69's quote: "Behind every great man, there's a woman"...how is that supposed to be a compliment? It is just saying that in front of every great woman there's going to be a man. The quote you cited is discouraging and tells one that in front of every woman there is going to be a great man. How does that work in favor of women everywhere?

"Eve was framed."

That's in one of the Women's Literature teacher's classroom. She is one of the coolest, smartest persons I've ever met, and although I'm not really into the Bible, I love that line.

Well, if respect is such an annoying "PC" thing to show, Joey, then maybe I should offer no respect to you. Or perhaps its a bit too late for that...

I suppose it depends to some extent in the spirit in which they're said, Joey, but jokes like that are sick. They aren't even jokes because they're not funny.

I've heard the ones about small feet before, blah blah blah whatever, but joking about domestic abuse is taking it way too far. I don't like it when people are overly politically correct either, but that's really sick.

When people tell jokes like that they're the ones that come off looking bad. Any girl I know would run a mile from a guy who made those kind of comments.

Unfortunately redjill, "respect" is politically correct.

People are so quick to say "Oh, please don't say that. You might offend them."

They were jokes. They made [some] people laugh. Get over it.

Sure, some "humor" is in bad taste when directed at a particular group of people, but geez, you can't go around expecting people to not say anything because it will "offend" them.

That's political correctness.

One more reason why society has become so degraded: everything that offends some group is funny. "Ah, it's just a joke... can't you take a joke? Why aren't you laughing??" );(

It's not political correctness. It's called respect.

Okay, the last joke wasn't in good taste, but geez people, the guy is stating pre-fed jokes.

More political correctness.

I thought they were hilarious; no, I don't think women should literally be "treated" that way, but they were funny.
