I was a bit out of it last night, I shouldve quoted 'sence' and not quoted 'unintelligent'. She had aid both, but it was sence that was the larger error.

Interesting point, Gaz. I've even had female teachers make comments like that about males. Pretty sad... Although quite a few high school age boys such as papasmurf are just so completely stupid (I am at least glad he understands that I am a grown woman, as opposed to an underdeveloped little boy... and I love to shove people's sarcasm back in their faces, by the way). razz

I find it interesting that nobody has mentioned that fact that girls quite often talk about how stupid guys are and how boys without money are worthless, etc. Should teachers intervene? It would only be fair. Anyway, papasmurf needs to think really hard about getting his head out of his a**. Any Pam88ela, you're not helping our case much. Your posts are painful to read; I could feel myself getting dumber. I know you're an intelligent girl; it would put a lot more power behind your argument if you showed it!

Unintelligent is, as a matter of fact, a word. And don't you mean "sense"? *sigh*

Heh, I just happened to read this and think its a gem of a quote:
quote:
You ain't nothin' papasmurf you unintelligent *** you ain't never gone be nothin' or go nowhere with a stupid *** attitude like that what you need is the sence beat into you. Believe me i can arrange that but anyway u need 2 stop acting like a dog and ack like u got common sence. Holla back whoady.

Unintelligent..hohoh, new word
aint never gone be nothin...hmm, thats awfully 'unintelligent' itself
I dont know what sence is, do you mean sensi ? And I dont see how a 13 year old girl in Minnesota could teleport to texas and beat a 17 year old male.

As for common sense, this pamella doesnt look like shes heard of it. I miss hearing so much ebonics, this was quite a refresher.

undersexual harassment laws if you say sexist comments in school or in the workplace and yo uare asked to stop it can lead to a hostile work environment. To have a hostile work environment you have to prove that it interfered with your job and cause emotional damage. There have been many cases fought and won by this. This is all written in Title 7 and Title 9. so marine it is illegal to use that language and in school there are more rules agaisnt it too. These words could be called fighting words wanting to instigate violence.

But the important thing is, if nothing is done they will keep on doing it. If they think they can get away with it they will take it a step further, if they get away with that a step further. It has to be stopped while the person is still a juvenile so when they get a job or a high position they dont discriminate in the workplace. Also, it is hard to get someone punished for it because many school administrations have a boys will be boys mentality. But if you have the means and motive if you tell them about something htat is harassing adn they do nothing about it you can try and sue them or take it to the board of education. Nothing could be done unless it is a severe case (though the little cases lead to severe cases) though.

quote:
Women are stupid

Thank you papasmurf for enlightening me. I mean, jeez, here I am, a woman, with an 164 IQ, but you're right, I must be stupid. That's why I took classes last year (as a freshman)most people don't take til they're juniors, sometimes seniors, and many never take. Clearly, this is proof of my stupidity.

*None of this is meant to brag, but I'm sick of people questioning intelligence*

theres no way you cant stop someone saying what they want to say. you can talk to your teachers and stuff. but i think you should change the way you respond to what this kids are saying. (yes, kids, obviously. theyre not mature) ignore them. everytime someone says in my class woman belong to the teacher i just look that person in the eyes without saying anything. you shouldnt waste your energy in that girl you know better than those kids. i know it sucks but trying to argue will only make them know that this sutff gets you. and hey it shouldnt.

by acting like a real woman should we will change the ways sexist men think about us.

This is not a serious issue. If your teacher initiated this and continued it, then it would be a serious issue. Just because a teacher "eggs" it on, does not make it serious at all. And if you feel it is that serious, than why have you just faught back with those "loseres"? Why hasn't this been reported? You call this serious but don't even treat it as such. There are no laws against sexism speach, at least not to my knowledge, if there are, please enlighten me. Therefor there is no problem. You can still go to college and vote and find a job despite what your classmates say, so once again there is no problem.

Just beacuase some high school students poke fun at you for being a woman is not serious. Serious would be them physically assaulting you for being a woman.

I would like to say I know what you're going through but I don't. Although I do know the reason the boys are saying what they are. The reason, of course, being that women DO belong in the kitchen, and feminists ARE lesbians. I also know why you're complaining. It is because you are a woman, and women are stupid.
Cheers,
Thomas
