There are a lot of other ways to absorb caffine into your system.

It is important for some to drink soda. Some people just need that caffine boost in between the day to keep themselves alive. I know that without at least one soda at lunch, I'm asleep by 5th period.

The city just spent millions of dollars on repairing my school, and then bought 3 more soda machines and put the old one in the teacher's lounge. Drinks now cost over a dollar. They are now sold in bottles, not cans and the floors are often a sticky mess. Soda really isn't needed and most students buy the water and juices offered. My question is, why is the school renting five vending machines, when we need new history books? If you want soda, wait until 3:00 and go to the store and buy it. And why is it no concern that the new school's floors are covered in sticky soda by 2:45??? Why is it so important to drink soda during school hours? Have water or something, it's better for you and costs less!

Love the idea. We need one, but my high school is too boring and cheap.

I mean don'y get me wrong i love apple juice but coke, pepsi, ans srite remix are so.......much better!! plus the bottling companie's stocks would go down. which would t\leave to a crash in the economy. We have them in our school but they dopnt work untill 3:20 till like 5:30 I think and thats a good idea b/c some kids that drink soda can get very unruly, and if you spill soda it makes a big sticky mess. EWW!

I love soda. We use to have a soda machine but it was taken away. Now, if I want soda at school I have to sneak into the teachers lounge. They have a soda machine (60 cents a can!).

I think having soda machines in schools is acceptable as long as students have equal access to water and other healthier drink options at an equal price. By the time someone is in highschool he/she should b capable of making his/her own decisions, and people shouldn't take that away from us. Yet in order to make a proper decision about what to drink, a student should be entitled to equal oppertunities. If a shool isn't willing to offer water and juices at and eqaul price and equal amount as they do soda, then no they shouldn't be aloud to have machines in the school, but if they are willing to compromise and have equal options for students and be willing to offer healthier drinks, then whatever floats their boat. In the end if students feel the urge to drink soda rather than healthier substances, then hey that's their choice. To each person their own action.

I think kids should be aloud to drink soda. They can drink it right before school and have cafine in them so i think you should be aloud to have soda
