This may seem like a dumb question, but what exactly does the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 do? I've seen it millions of times on school papers, but the explanation is.....
Yeah. Let's not think about that.
So, can anyone explain it?

YAY I know a lot about this one. The No Child Left Behind Act(NCLB)is like a bill. Bush sigen it in 2001 in. Is what is says in this act is teacher will have to take classes so they are "up to date". Along with the teacher having to take classes student have to take test every year. In order for the school to get funding a % of students have to pass this test. What is this test you ask In Idaho we call it the Isat. That is the test that your school may make you take aleast twice a year. I do not agree with the NCLB Act. I have stressed over and over about this test because I cant gruduate with out it. Teacher focaus more on what is on the test the Gov't makes us taken then common knlonge stuff. I hope this answerd you question

Its basicly trying to justify 50 years of undereducation compared to other countries, politicains are trying to fix this by raising the percentage of people who graduate every year, if the school can't it recives a fine. This is a pathetic short-term piece of crap thats trying to make a 50 year screw up better in 4 years

President Bush signed the No Child Left Behind Act on January 8, 2002. The law helps schools improve by focusing on accountability for results, freedom for states and communities, proven education methods, and choices for parents.
