Question:
Hello I am 17 years old and a senior in high School, I want to know why you think there is so much competition and favoritism in schools across America today? There are comercials and advertisments that support both of these ideas. Why is America supporting a sense of hate? Competition is geting way out of hands these days. I am a soccer referee at my local Y.M.C.A and we are not supposed to keep score and just play to have fun, well parents are encouraging their children to downgrade and keep score, and to hate the other team they are playing. But why?

Competition in school is miles away from competition in sports.

In sports, someone always has to lose.

In school, anyone who will work can win. You don't lose unless you don't try.

That's why I hate sports.

True, you are right outspoken. A senior could have at least figured out how to make a poll.

But honestly, I don't knw why there's favoritism in society today. I guess it's just a way of life. You would want your kids to feel they were special and make them proud of themselves, so I guess that's why parents do that.

I think we all tend to be nicer to people that are nice to use. And helps us out, and agrees with us.
Teachers tend to like the students that a co-operative and does all their work.
That's all the explanation I have for now. I'll post a better one some other day.
