Question:
I know my school has a bunch of dumb rules such as clear backpacks and no cell phones. I am in middle school. I would just like to know if your middle or high school has dumb rules?

Yeah, I have one. I'm talking on it right now. It was only 100 bucks. I need one, I stay after school and go to friends houses and the school won't let us use the phones. Unless you want to use the pay phones that are covered in dog **** go ahead.

My school has this one rule where you can't wear certain blue or red things.For example:shoe laces,belts,scrunchies They only do it because of gangs.I hate it because blue is my favorite color.

Those spittle-encrusted blobs of recycled Wookie hair. Grr reading this post is making me mad. Short socks never hurt anyone. And clear backpacks!? Isn't that VIOLATING? Like what if you have tampons or pads? And people can like see your wallet and if you have your cd player and stuff like that with you.

You want to hear dumb? All right now. I got to a private school, and I was wearing khaki pants (normal uniform) when my math teacher one day goes, "Ha, ever heard of socks?" and sure enough my socks were a BIT below my shoe. I got a 45 detention slip that I got a day late, so they signed me up for 3 HOURS OF SATURDAY DETENTION. FOR MY SOCKS. SOCKS!!!! I'm going to cry. Stupid school.

High school only steals about 4 years of your life. Greedy bästards.

lol yeah..I went back to visit one of my teachers or whatever and got yelled at..I had no idea what was going on. My friends little sister says you have to go all the way around again even if your class is only 2 doors down. Its really crazy.

At the middle school I used to go to, they've now changed the rules so that there are one way hallways. You can't bring your backpack to lunch, and there is assigned seating at lunch. I am sooo happy I'm in highschool now

My school has alot of rules that seem unreasonable. I can understand alot of them but why can't we wear sweaters or jackets in class when it's cold and they have to keep freakin' thermostats on 65, brrrr.

Rules are there for a reason.

The rules you have mentioned are not 'dumb' as you put it. There are, on the other hand, that do actually appear completely pointless. At my school, I find it rather amusing that guys must have collared, tucked in shirts everyday, but if a girl wears a collared shirt then it doesnt have to be. Why? I dont know. Does it have any reason behind it that most people could see? Not that I find. Its just one of those things we have to deal with.

Who cares what the rules are? Just follow them, because you can't change them.

There's enough people stuffing guns into their lockers... they don't need the kids pulling out a gun from their backpack in the middle of class. And there's those people who expose too much... let them learn their limits. And then there's the cell phone... when people talk on them in the bathrooms and such, skipping class.

Tell me, now... why is it a bad thing we have rules?

Well yeah life sucks like that especially at school. At ours we're not allowed to have our shoulders showing. At all.

Deal with it. I was almost suspened for having a shirt untucked and a cell phone. Oh well.

You'll only be there for so long. Rules are rules. None are dumb.

Sadly those rules were only put there because someone had to abuse their freedom. Someone probably had drugs in a back pack so now they need clear ones to keep tabs on that. Somone probably was talking on their phone in class so now they cant have phones around. It sucks for kids like us that dont cause trouble.
