I think that school uniforms would lead to more rebelion. I think this because more kids would rebel against the uniforms, and refuse to wear them and all that would cause is trouble. Also not all families are the richest they can't all afford to go and buy new uniforms instead of cheap cloths. And then they would go and have to buy more cloths for on the weekend and after school. That is twice as much they would have to spend. ¿ it also takes away our freedom of choice why shouldn't we be able to pick our own cloths and what we want to wear that day. That is so wrong. What do you think¿

school uniforms also squash indiviuality I went to a private school for a few years and I fely like a clone after a year and a half there. I compesated by getting in to as much trouble as humanly possible and now I got to public school and wear what I want and it ROCKS!

I think school uniforms take time and money not only would you have to wear the same boring thing everyday but what do they do for you outside of school?

I strongly believe that school uniforms destroy teen diversity and do not allow for teens to be individuals. I'm at a school that strictly inforce the school uniform. What's ironic about it, is that our school is big on diversity and idividuality. The school admisitrators and teachers press on the students to his/her own self, but my queation to them is how do you be your own self if everyone one around you is just like you? Uniforms ought to be abolished in all schools! Let's abolish uniforms together!!!

I agree with Yuka, if we have school uniforms there wouldn't be any racist reactions, also if we did have them, there wouldn't be any pants slaging and students wearing those "outfits". Do you really like the way people judge you becasue of the clothes you wear?If we wore uniforms, they couldn't judge you that much.

In a way, I can see what you are talking about Blondie09, although sometimes if there is a school uniform, the teachers and administrators would not have to worry about having slangs on students clothing, or any gang signs. Also, there wouldn't be any racist reactions to what other students are wearing. Those are just a couple of factors to where school uniform can be a very positive aspect for schools, and students.
