Are your parents divoced? Mine are, and I used to think it was my fault, but then I realized that my parents divorced because it was the best for the FAMILY not because I was alive. So, are your parents divorced?

My parents are seperating and it really makes me mad. They just had a baby together in July. It makes me wonder how things could change so quickly!!! One day we were just a happy family and the next i was ripped away from everything i was used to. One statistic that I find GREAT but many people find distressing is the fact that the divorce rate is rising.

I think this is GREAT because it means that more people are willing to break up if it just doesn't work out, and they don't end up living together hating each other more and more with each passing day.

I mean it's not like the national mood is growing more hateful, it's that people don't feel constrained by religion to prevent them from doing what they want to do.

This comes from someone whose parents are divorced by the way.

Marriage isn't worth the paper it's recorded on. It's the relationship that counts.. Most people get married too quickly, hence 50% of marriages ended up in divorce.

...sometimes it makes you wonder why people bother with marriage, statistically it won't last. Wouldn't it be better to just live together, that way you're losing less. I guess that would actually cause more problems(infidelity and such)...just makes it hard to have hope for the world when people can't even work past differences partnership relations
