what u do people think about teachers having affairs with their students or vice-versa just the same ?? would u give the teacher a 2nd chance?

wasn't it actually the other way round, it was mary the teacher who wrote the book. they both came on oprah and they said they have a kid together named phoenix, who is i guess months old. they acted pretty much in love with each other too...

It can't end well. Most of the time its either the teacher taking advantage of the student or the stuedent taking advantage of the teacher...or maybe they both think they are.
But if they're having an affair the teacher has to be prejudice in giving grades, etc.
And then when it ends, the teacher will end up in court..and it just doesn't end weill no matter what. If its really meant to be then they can wait until the student graduates.
It's not allowed for a reason.

Last year, a PE teacher and one of my classmates liked each other, and that was in 8th grade! Damn, she had to be desprate. Also at our high school, there is a young teacher that some of the senior guys like. But she's married. I think it's weird to like a student 10 years younger than you.

I think it takes some messed up people to have student-teacher affairs. It's really disgusting!
That whole Mary LaTourneau/Billy Foulow thing happened around here. In fact, Billy lived just down the street from my family members and his mom didn't seem to care what he did with his teacher. I think it turned into a publicity stunt to get money when he committed the offenses again. They ended up suing and won a big chunk of money, but then Billy came out and said later that he still loved her and wrote a book about it to get even more money because they had spent all their court-awarded cash.
It's sad how much it messes up your life!
