at my school district teacher our being left out of work cause there is no money for salary, affecting class size...at my school there is a lack of class text books!!!when the some school official came the principal told us to bring our home teach books so they would not get in trouble!!!so where did all the money go???well they are constructing new class and destroying old ones. the weirdest thing is that they are creating less than they are destroying. and also a second gym which we all ready have one...just waste of money!!!
so do you think it is right to use school funding for the schools appearance or what really count a good education?

schools and such are losing sight on whats realy important and the reason why every one is forced to go to school which is to learn not have to do chemistry with equipment (that some of) that is quite literaly falling apart </rant> but yet the shool cant afford new books and computers but the althletics have completely new equipment

I got lucky. The school I attended was (relatively) newer, so the equipment that the athletic division uses was all in fine working order. They athletic division repeatedly asked for money, and was repeatedly denied. A school appearance can help quite a bit. Students perform better when they have cleaner hallways and a generally better taken care of environment. However, athletics don't translate in to school appearance. Yay for new classrooms, boo for athletics.

My high school had a similar thing go down. They had to keep increasing class sizes, we used outdated textbooks...yet they built this huge new athletic complex. They sold athletic bonds to help pay for the new gym (and they astroturfed the football field with the leftover money). Okay, I get that...but if bonds can raise THAT much money, why on earth aren't we selling academic bonds?!

Do you know why they are building a second gym? Have you asked? It could be for a stupid reason, but they could have a good reason, too.
