OK Im new to Youth Noise, but Im involved in a anti tobacco movement in Wisconsin, it's called FACT Fight Against Coperate Tobacco. So I was wondering what everyone thought about the tobacco industry or if they have any ideas for us here at FACT in Wisconsin, so post or e-mail me!

I just want to point out, that all these TRUTH ads that are polluting the airwaves, are just promoting Big Tobacco.
I mean, if people didn't already know that smoking can kill you and what-not, they must be really dim.
And also,are they thinking about the farmers that need the sales of tobacco, so they can keep themselves and their families out of the poor house?
Do we really need about ten different ads stating the same thing in a more warped sense than the last?
Maybe we do, maybe we don't. Its just that if you're that dim to not know the complicatinos tied in with smoking, you'd just die from smoking.

when i see those "TRUTH" ads on tv, they just remind me of the smokes in my pocket.... then i light up. counter productive huh.

I must be in a disagree kind of day today. I disagree with most of the ads you see on tv about how people dont know that smoking can kill you, right and the pope is a woman! There is a plethora of information that has been out for years that tells people about all of the harm that cigs and chewing tobacco can do to our bodies but has any one thought about the farmers and families who depend on those farms and crops to make a living. I do agree that smoking is bad but I dont agree with people placing others in the poor house just to make themselves feel better.

I believe that people should acknowledge the fact that they're responsible for the effects of their actions. If you smoke and you get lung cancer or some similar thing, it's your own damn fault. Nobody made you smoke, and it's been known for quite a while that smoking cigarettes isn't all that good of an idea.

I believe that big tobacco compaines higher ups should all be tryed for murder
