I think it's really pathetic to deny someone education on the count of their hairstyle. Dreadlocks are the most natural type of hairstyle, so going with their logic they should start baning people with highlights and colored hair. If you leave your hair alone for a extensive period of time, washing it regularly, you will end up with drealocks. Thus, it's not readical it's natural! ::sighs:: Maybe the schools are involved in some corporate plot, so if teens and adults do not purchase hair products (dreads do not, usually, require alot of hair products) they have to threaten them bu taking away their education. Thus if they engage in buying hair products they keep the economical system up, and capitalism comes out ok. Maybe but maybe not. Just a thought..haha.

Thier logic is usually somewhere along the lines of "it's distracting in class" which is somewhat true. However, I think people should just be rediculed for having horrible, ugly, or neon hair, no official action should be taken.

And no, if you wash your hair regularly and "leave it alone" you won't end up with dreadlocks. It will look vaugely like large clumps of hair that haven't been maintained and generally look like sh1t.

Just because a person has a certain hair style doesnt mean that they are going to do drugs.
