i'm in a "gifted program". we don't do anything, its so stupid. the last time i took the test to be in the program was about 8 years ago, but i'm still in it. they just say they have one so they can get money. they probably just give it to the athletics dept. ahh! the injustice!

I took that Johns Hopkins course too. I also went to a special program in elementary and middle school for gifted and talented students. That program got me into all advanced classes in high school.
I don't think it matters that much. We're regular teenagers just the same, though we might be more motivated in school and other junk. Gifted/talented doesn't mean genius, though once in a while, you'll come across a "gifted/talented" student that's bloody brilliant. I know a few that got 1500s on their PSATs/SATS, play 2 or more sports, get straight As, are leaders and participants in several clubs, and at the same time, done a project that recieved a state or national award/recognition...they're headed staight for the Ivies.

Er, I took my math course through Johns Hopkins which is a center for "gifted and talented youth". So I guess so. Most of my peers don't care, cause I don't go to the school much anymore, but the ones I still talk to and hang out think it's cool.
