In my school, I just have one English language teacher for teaching in my class. Oh, so boring! She is so... ugh, I can't explain it anymore! But my Indonesian language teacher is so kind to us.

wow. i'm impressed. i think that most americans kinda have the ethnocentric way of thinking about things, especially the government. there isn't much money put into schools learning languages (my high school didn't require any languages to graduate). I grew up overseas though.. so thankfully i know a few languages too. my mother knows so many more than i do though. I can speak and write: english, french, hebrew, greek, spanish I can speak: italian, norwegian, german, some arabic, portugese. I can understand a bit of chinese, japaneese, and latin. I can sign in American Sign Language too, but that's because a friend of mine is nearly entirely deaf.

The only bit about latin I like is the history! The grammer is evil and so is the vocabulary, but the history is very cool. The mythology is the best of all!
Each to his own I suppose.
I learned a little greek when I was in cyprus and a little hungarian when I was in Budapest. But only a few words, its a bit pathetic really, but its more than I knew before so I'm quite proud.
I have my exams in two weeks. O me miserum!
See what I did there?
Sorry.
I'll just go now.
Bi!

I'm currently in my sixth year of Latin. There is way too much remembering, probably more than any other language I have ever seen. There's so much history, as well, and they force it down your throat. And mythology. So, so, so much mythology, which they also force-feed you, simultaneously, of course, as they teach you Roman history, so you are so confused that you don't know where the history stops and mythology begins, and you start thinking that Bacchus was an actual person. And then they start talking about Clem eating clams in Miami, and Spido the Dog, and Ramon Noodles, until you want to kill yourself, and you have to be bribed by your teacher to stay in the class.

quote: what is pig latin anyway?
You take off the first letter of the word, and put it at the end + ay for example: Pig Latin would be igpay atinlay quote: and american sign language?
It's a way for deaf people to communicate, using gestures and some facial expressions. It's not just gestures though, it's really complex. But American sign language is differnt from British Sign Language, etc...there's no universal sign language quote: Does pig latin actually count?
I didn't think so, but I guess now I have 2, + the little spanish I know. yay
