I speak english and spanish. Spanish I've taken in school for five years.... however, I really want to learn sign language, but am having a hard time finding a place to take classes. I'm open for suggestions if anyone has any information... thanks!

English, Polish, and a hint of Spanish, French, German, and sign language, if that counts for anything.
I used to know about six languages fluently, but after the "years" I kind of dumbed myself down. Surprising, I know.

hah! all you people speak all these different languages. Well let's see here...I speak english....english....english...ah! Pig Latin if that counts for anything. A small bit of French(I"m learning it in school and want to be fluent) and I did know some Hebrew, but in the past year without Hebrew School, I've forgotten almost all of the little I knew.

English is a bloody hard language. My grandmother is trying to learn English at 64. I can't explain any of the rules to her. I just know the things instinctlively. Its really difficult. I learned it when I was four, in South Africa and I've been to South African, American and English schools, so I think I've got the language down pat. Like Communism101 said, I am starting to forget my own language, which is quite sad, and my brother doesn't even know any serbian.

I speak english and serbian fluently and am currently learning french and german in school. I like languages, and am not that bad at them. I would like to continue with them in some sort of career, but all the ones I have looked at are really, really boring.
Ah well.
You don't have to differentiate between serbian, croatian and serbo-croatian. They are more-or-less the same language. If you put it that way, I speak: Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian and Serbo-Croatian. Actually, if you put all those on a resumé then it makes it look as if you speak loads of different languages (if the employer doesn't know any better).
I might try that actually...

Because America speaks English, I fear I might forget knowledge that I have of Russian. Or would you like some more?

Because English is the hardest language to learn if you're not taught it at first. I am native to Russia, but now live in America. I speak Russian and English very well, can speak a good amount of Ukrainian and I am learning Spanish.
