That's not EMOS scare me. That's EMO scares me, thanks very much.

The reason emo scares me is because it a) encourages self-harm and b) makes anyone who has a serious issue with self-harm look like a joke. I have a friend who used to cut, but has stopped; and every time I hear about these little losers whining and cutting it makes me feel sick to my stomach. These kids have got to stop screwing themselves over in the name of their crap fad, and their crap fad needs to stop making a joke out of a serious issue. Jesus!

Today has never happened, and it doesn't frighten me.

I think being emo is just a phase that you can grow out of, however like Cybele said it
quote:
encourages self-harm
. and that should not be taken lightly.

stereotypes are dumb.
i listen to emo music. yes, im usually a very depressed person. but i think that ppl these days are "emo" bcas of the trend. the reason i think that is because depressed ppl dont normally go around talking about their problems to everyone. i like to be sad and cry and be depressed when no ones around.as for the cutting, i think this problem can be prevented. its not "trendy" at all. not just "emo" ppl cut. why iis there a label for people now?

When my friend's mother asked his 8-year old sister what emo was, she said it was people who cut their arms and put drugs in the cuts.

I think we all laughed our asses off.

Fact!

Emos don't cut themselves,
They only cry and write flavorless rymless poetry.

...because all kids who listen to "emo" music cut themselves...

Seriously. Emo is just as popular where I am as anywhere else, I don't know any one who cuts themselves, seriously or to be trendy.

Do you people know anyone who does cut to be "trendy"? If not, stop stereotyping, and shut the hell up.

emo doesn't scare me, it makes me sad to think that teens have stooped to this new low of cutting to be trendy, and what ever else emo listening to kids do these days.

I was gonna say something meaniful, I was gonna say something wise, I would have said something that meant something to me, but I lost my train of thought

Emo music isn't even depressing...it's just whining over and over.

Well... it is harder to take everyone who cuts themselves seriously these days for the simple reason that so many people are doing it. I don't think music is to blame although I'm not even 100% sure what emo is, besides depressing music. I just think the world's getting more and more fucked up. *shrugs*

So....emotionally-inspired punk rock inspires people to cut themselves?
It's just music, damn.

You say you just don't like emo itself...and then go on and on about "these kids..."

You know what? I like emo music. The end. I am a very happy go lucky person and I don't cut myself or pretend that I do. But is there such a harm in liking the music?
