Alright, she died. Her son died about 5 months previous to her. Tragic, all of this. However, I propose that America keep some perspective on this matter. All I've seen on the news these last two days is breaking news on Anna, and some Iraq updates. Oh, and the forecast, of course. Otherwise, the news is more predictable than usual. This is no surprise to me, but honestly, can we focus on something else now? She was a porn star that married a famous old man, scattering some scandals here and there. That's about it. I know she may have fans and admirers (somehow), but how did her death attract nearly as much national attention as Ford's? I see no need for such a commotion about her death. I respect her as a person; however, I would like America to move on with its continuous coverage of details relating to her death and biography. Anyone agree/disagree? Cause of death remains unknown, according to Fox News.

It's a sad day when someone says "I want to report serious news, and the Daily Show is reviewing my application" (overheard in a journalism class where a girl had applied for an internship on the show supposedly

True, which is why I watch the Daily Show more than I watch CNN.

now how often do you get that in this country? I think you get more "news" on fucking Jon Stewart than on the "real" news channels...

What, people still care? I'm shocked. Maybe now that we know who Anna's baby's daddy is (that sounds like something that should be on Maury, not CNN), will the news coverage now die? As I've said before, when I turn on the news, I want real news, not some custody battle over the baby of a dead Playboy Playmate.

There's this really funny video on Youtube where she's high and pregnant. Hmm. That sounds more sad than funny. But her face is painted like a clown.

I've been plotting to do that for a long time, actually. It's only a matter of time...but you didn't hear that from me.

I actually only knew her from that time she was high at an award show and started talking about her body instead of introducing the band, if anyone else saw that? Not to be a bitch, but she was such a fucking dumbass. quote: I swear, the next time I see any mention of Anna Nicole on a non-entertainment news channel, I'm going to throw the TV out the window... Oh, who needs a TV when almost everything is on-line nowadays?

I accidentally saw more about her on Fox while channel surfing, but that doesn't count. Plus I don't really want to ruin my TV...I mean, Lost is on tonight. It would be a crime not to have a TV with which to watch it.

Go defenestrate that TV, CLPO! You know you want to! I don't watch tv and the only things I know about her I learned on AIM's "news" page... It's fine on AIM still, but I'm shocked about the CNN thing. That's kinda scary...

I turned on CNN Headline News the other day and what was on? Anna Nicole. Anna Nicole does not belong on CNN, much less on Headline News! It seems like every time I turn on a news channel, it's something else about her. I don't care! I want real news. Leave this sort of thing to E!; they're the ones who do entertainment news. I swear, the next time I see any mention of Anna Nicole on a non-entertainment news channel, I'm going to throw the TV out the window... Basically, it's understandable that they would air news of her death. I mean, that would happen with any celebrity. But she died over a month ago! The news coverage should have ended shortly after that. Seriously. No one really cares that much. Heck, the majority of America probably only knows her for being a Playboy playmate. And that's not exactly a flattering thing to be known for.

glee and dancing in the streets that another piece of shit has been removed from the gene pool? oh wait you mean normal people... quote: hear about a dead playmate
See I'd much rather hear about a live one quote: We will never forget you.
until the hype dies down and the media let's us forget any way I am rather pissed about this. I know I've ranted about hollywood before but honestly why the fuck does any one give a shit about a dead stripper? I mean beyond friends and family no one should care and yet I turn on CNN or Fox and instead of things we should know about like what's going on in Iraq or the status of serial killer manhunts I see some shit about a blonde whore that's only major kindness in the world was to give an old dying dude a little action before he departed

I mean I haven't followed her carrer and I dom;t really know her but this paticyular story is very upsetting. I mean the baby Dannelynn is without a famiy and 3 men are trying to get into her estate. I feel personally that someone allowed her to die because she had her body guard, and her nurse in the room when she died. They even said that she couldn't urinate, had severe diarriah and severe vomitting. Tell me that you didn't know something was up and I will tell you that your bull shittin me.

Considering Hollywood's influence on international culture, I would assume other parts of the world fretted over her death just as much as Americans. I see you're from Jordan, Sphinx. I personally don't have cable or satellite, but would love to get satellite so I can watch foreign channels. Pity that our TV crap has to come with the everything else.

quote: I hate hate HATE The Insider! You can practically see Pat O'Brien (I know his name cause I've seen him mocked on SNL so many times) frothing at the mouth as he talks about "her final interview" and her "heart-wrenching grief", flashing clips of her crying after the death of her son. It's SICK. They couldn't be happier that she's dead, the fucking whores.
Ugh, I can only imagine. I don't want to see it. I've seen them do that with other celebrities who have passed away, and yes, it's completely sick.

I totally agree with you there. I mean, even just at my school people were in chaos because of it; and a source of chaos is something which people often cannot resist.
