And sadly, this is all our faults as consumers. If there was no demand for this type of thing I don't think it would have grown to such an extreme degree. But it makes me wonder what people are actually in to this celebrity break-ups and the like.

I know. That would be simply ridiculous and yet I'm afraid something like that could happen if we continue down this path. quote: I'm sick of being drowned with the same Anna news. It's being shoved down my throat like a soggy syrupy pancake, and, frankly, I refuse to swallow. I agree. Not only is she another member of Hollywood royalty we love to drool over, but I fear the proportions of America's reaction to Britney Spear's death. One can assume that someone much more widely-loved by all age groups (and a world-wide megastar like Britney) will receive more coverage. But...I can't imagine even more. What will ne next? Blimps? Interrupting normal TV/radio programming for a long announcement? I'd like to be informed about it to reasonable extent. I'm sick of being drowned with the same Anna news. It's being shoved down my throat like a soggy syrupy pancake, and, frankly, I refuse to swallow. quote: I found option number three to be sad and option number four just made me laugh out loud. :P Hehe, I'm just predicting teen reactions here. =P

I must say that I agree with you Faeri. America is obsessed with Hollywood and celebrities. You can't turn on the TV without watching "breaking news of someones break-up," or "unbelievable pictures of so and so cheating on so and so." It sickens me to be quite honest. There are far more important issues going on around the world for people to waste so much media attention on something like that. For example, I'm very upset about the genocide in Darfur, yet you don't really hear much about that in the news. It might get a small mention here and there, but I bet if they used time on air more wisely, people would be better informed about this. Thousands of people are dying there in such a tragic way. How is that not causing more media attention than one person passing away? I don't mean to say that her death was not something sad and that doesn't deserve mention. But do we really need to focus on that so much? This needs to stop, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Random comment: I found option number three to be sad and option number four just made me laugh out loud. :P
